Use another mover!

This company is a bait and switch operation. They hire moving truck companies that will not safely transport your belongings and items end up “missing”. I was horribly overcharged and then offered an amount of compensation that wouldn’t even cover the TV they broke and for this small amount they wanted us to retract the horrible review we gave them. Use another company even if they charge you more. In the end it will be worth it.

Stress free move

Benny and his crew were professional and efficient. He made the experience stress free and handled our items like they were his. I would definitely recommend them for moving in or out of state. Couldn’t be happier as we wait the arrival of our belongings.

Buyer Beware

Buyer Beware! Safe Ship is NOT a moving company - they are a broker. The $4100 "deposit" I paid was not really a deposit for the move. It was the broker fee. I then had to pay for the move (which they got another company to do) on top of the $4100! Save yourself thousands of dollars and be sure to hire an actual moving company. Don't be fooled by all the positive reviews on other sites like I was. As a single parent and a teacher, this was a real financial blow.

Scam

Give a reasonable quote, then 3 days before double it. Then load the truck and add even more even though they agreed on a price before loading. Clear that they are used to doing this to people. Charge a huge deposit so you can't back out. This company is just here to take advantage of people.

They're adept at spamming....

Safe Ship were one of a number of movers we contacted for a quote. We didn't choose them (thank goodness!), yet Jason Bak continues with his automated spam emails despite being told to stop. No unsubscribe either which is a violation of the CANSPAM Act. Use them if you want drama....

Very spastic

Joshua starts by text, mentions he tried to call but didn't, had me call him, starts by trying to be very confident by befriending me but did not listen to what I was asking. Continued to try and over quote what I was asking for, tried to claim how everything cost more and he can give me a great deal, then started to quote numbers of others that were far off but to make it sound like he was going to quote much less, when I told him I only wanted to get a quote and I did not need to be pressured to seal the quote, he hung up on me.

Safe ship New Jersey stay away from them

I was quoted $3,334 to move my small 2 bedroom apt out of State. They were 2 days late picking up my stuff, and late dropping off. They charged me an additional $4,500 ! I ended up paying over $7,500 for my move. They are utterly disgusting and they lie. I have missing items and 2 things broke. They don't care They have your money! They shouldn't be in business.

An Utter Disappointment: Avoid Safe Ship Movers at All Costs

I regret to inform potential customers that my experience with Safe Ship Movers has been nothing short of disastrous, warranting a stern warning to others. Initially, Safe Ship Movers presented themselves as a reliable service, but they utterly failed to deliver on their promises. They outsourced the moving job not once but twice, first to Frontline and then to Barahones, each step further diluting the responsibility and accountability. The mover sent by Barahones was not only disgruntled and irresponsible but also lacked the basic communication skills needed to coordinate such an important job, speaking no English and displaying a complete disregard for my belongings. This led to a catastrophic outcome where over $250,000 worth of my property was either abandoned as trash or lost without a trace. The lack of information and care has left me in a state of distress and uncertainty about the whereabouts of my valuables. The experience was a far cry from the professionalism and organization that Javier from Safe Ship promised when he committed to 'quarterbacking' my move for $2,000. Similarly, Tom's assurances of precision and coordination quickly dissipated into thin air after another $2,000 payment was made, never to be heard from again. As of today, my move is in shambles, with some items lost to the wind in the hands of the third subcontractor, Barahones, and others left in disarray. The experience has been anything but safe or secure, and I am now left with the daunting task of trying to recover half a million dollars' worth of property, prompting me to initiate disputes with JPMorgan Chase in a frantic attempt to mitigate this fiasco. I strongly advise against using Safe Ship Movers. This company is not just a poor service provider; it is a negligent, unprofessional entity that seems to operate with the sole intent of defrauding its customers and causing distress. Please heed my warning: steer clear of Safe Ship Movers.

Do not use

Beware of using SafeShip I selected Safe Ship based on their assurance of delivering my items within four days, coupled with a competitive price compared to other moving companies. When calling to get a quote, I was told everything I wanted to hear! However, during the pickup process, I encountered discrepancies. Despite having fewer boxes than initially estimated, I was informed that I would require more space and was asked to sign blank documents, with the promise that costs would be filled in later. I declined, leading to an "estimated" cost significantly higher than the original quote. Additionally, I was almost charged a 3.5% fee for using Cash App, which was later confirmed to be unauthorized by Safe Ship's customer support. Contrary to the promised four-day delivery, my items were not delivered within this timeframe. I later learned that movers have up to two weeks to complete delivery after the specified date, a detail omitted during the initial quoting process. Despite my persistent inquiries, with customer service promising delivery "tomorrow" for a week, my items arrived a week after the intended delivery date, with a broken desk and a missing part on my vacuum. Furthermore, upon delivery, I was unexpectedly charged an additional $500 for a shuttle service, another fee not disclosed during the quoting process. Customer service explained that such charges are at the "driver's discretion," meaning the driver could impose this fee arbitrarily. After deciding to write a review detailing my moving experience to assist others in similar situations, I received a phone call from the individual responsible for the pick-up process. During this call, he engaged in harassing and disrespectful behavior, questioning my decision to potentially cause him trouble. Additionally, he attempted to justify the 3.5% fee once again. Subsequently, I also received a call from SafeShip, requesting that I remove my review. The accumulation of these undisclosed charges and the need for constant communication with customer service caused significant inconvenience and frustration. Based on my experience, I strongly advise against using Safe Ship for moving services.
