Bluffers in the market

All that I would say is Stay away. Dangerous money grabbers. Very tactic team that are trained to bluff you. Lies after lies. Adam Stone (904) 544-8498 Logistics Coordinator. Not sure even the person name is right or not as he never responded. This guys initially talk about others merchants as if showing they are obedient. Don't get into these people words. I lost almost my around lot of my money just because I dealt with these guys. All sales person, manager and other teams are well trained to suck your money.

Stay away

I was quite dissatisfied with the moving company that was chosen. This firm was completely unprofessional and made my relocation quite difficult. If I hadn't been on a deadline to relocate, I would have instructed them to leave my house. The guy in charge of the move called us the day before and informed us to write the money order out to First Choice Movers; but, when they arrived at our house at 6 p.m., they said they couldn't accept the money order and that they only accepted cash. To get the driver to accept the money, I had to spend approximately two hours phoning back and forth to the firm. The driver then called me a liar, claiming that the owner had told him to give them cash. One of the movers was listening to music on his phone. We've moved many times previously and are familiar with the procedure. The movers lacked inventory paperwork and stickers. We were required to create our own inventory sheet. They were deceptive when the Uhaul was weighted out. They poured petrol in the truck and stayed in it while it was weighed.

**WARNING** READ THE FINE PRINT

Where do I start?... With the multiple up-charges, extremely delayed delivery, inability to fit all my items in the truck, lies after lies. Overpromise and Underdeliver- literally. My move was from CO to PA, 1800 miles with roughly 1600 cu ft of household goods. Safe Ship (the broker) hired Rhema Transportation Service LLC to move my items. Rhema loaded my items in CO on Aug 20th and I set a delivery date in PA for Aug 31st, giving them plenty of time to make the trip. What Safe Ship does not tell you is that the delivery date you put on the contract is the "First available delivery date" and the company has up to 30 business days after to deliver your goods. Shame on me for thinking I was working with a reputable company that cares about their clients and would deliver my goods in a timely manner. Nope, it took them OVER a month after moving into our new home to see our items delivered. Leaving my family including my pregnant wife and 2 year old without any furniture/toys/kitchenware and having to sleep on a blow-up mattress while this horrendous company sat on their hands saying "there is nothing we can do about it." We were left completely helpless and were fed multiple different stories/excuses as their updates made no sense and they could never tell us where our goods were and when we could expect them. Safe Ship initially quoted me a price that was competitive with others received. After the final inventory call only 2 days before pickup their algorithm thought that that the cubic ft would be about 500 more so they wanted to charge me an extra nearly $5,000 more. I decided to sell some items to lower the up-charge to only $3,000 more. Even after being completely honest with my inventory list, the truck they brought for pickup still did not fit all my belongings and I had to sell more items privately that they left behind. The driver for Rhema who picked up my items specifically told me that the truck they loaded was going straight to PA and it will be ready for delivery when we are ready for it. That was a complete lie and this is when the stories/excuses/lies started. The first story we were told was that the truck actually went to a storage facility in TX. Then a week later we were told that the truck broke down at the CO/KS border. Then after weeks have now past and still no updates/delivery date estimated, we were told the truck broke down again and was out of commission for a few days. Once we were updated that it was back on the road we were told they hit traffic/accident and the delay would be an extra 2-3 days. Are you kidding me!..A traffic delay might take 2-3 hours, not 2-3 days. Lie after lie. When we finally got our items delivered on Oct 4th, I found out the driver worked for a completely different company (MB Transportation) and said he picked up my items in a storage facility in CO on Friday and had it delivered on Monday…Why couldn’t that have gotten done a month ago!!?? Apparently what happened is after Rhema sat on their hands for over a month, they finally sold the contract to a different company…Why couldn’t Safe Ship negotiate that for me!!?? Throughout this process, Rhema did not answer their calls and all the numbers provided had full voicemail boxes where we could not leave messages. Safe Ship did answer most the calls but all I got from them is "there is nothing we can do" because at that point we were under the mercy of the transportation companies. This has absolutely the worst business experience I have ever been associated with. Reading other reviews, apparently I am not the only one who has experienced this and these companies need to be brought to justice for putting their clients through pain and agony of being lied to over and over and left helpless without their personal belongings. I have certainly learned my lesson and I hope you take the advice and look elsewhere for your moving services.

Unskillful

Moving from two states away may be exhausting! You want to work with a firm that is dependable, trustworthy, and efficient. This firm embodies all of those qualities and more! They handled all of the work, allowing me to focus on other aspects of my major relocation. I couldn't have asked for a more professional moving experience!

Is not way to do business

Use this firm at your own risk!! Lies, lies, and more lies!! Will tell you anything to acquire your business but will not follow through. The worst moving experience I've ever had. They are brokers, and they can transfer anything. They subcontract the relocation and allow the poor genuine movers to cope with the aftermath. I can only say DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! Any positive review is most likely a lie.

Sales that are misleading.

Should Not BELIEVE THE SALES LINE "We own all of our vehicles, and all of our movers work for us." As a "shuttle" service, a third-party subcontractor arrived in a leased vehicle. Do not be taken in by the "last on/first off" charge. It doesn't imply anything. Don't Really Try to Contact Any Along with Which. They will not pick up the phone or respond to your calls. When I tried to get a charge excused due to the aforementioned concerns, the management refused to even consider the subcontractors.  When I informed him I had three family members contemplating cross-country migrations that I'd be taking somewhere, he didn't seem to care - "It would not harm us. We're really busy ". That pretty much sums it up! Their online rating of 5 stars is B.S. with a big B.

Beware of fake 5 star reviews, do not use this company!

All the 5 star reviews are fake and written by the same two people. This company is a broker and the actual moving company that transports your household items are unprofessional scam artists. Safe ship will give you a low ball quote and when the actual movers show up, they double your price and lie to you. Safe ship does return our calls but they have no clue where our belongings are. It has been over a month and we are still waiting for our delivery. If and when it arrives, we will see how much is missing or damaged.Others have their property held hostage upon delivery because the movers were asking for even more money for "additional charges" at the time of delivery and they refused to unload unless these extra money's were paid. If you are one of their victims, file a complaint with the U.S. Department of transportation by using their USDOT number and take legal action.

Terrible experience

Safe Ship Moving, as someone else said, is a broker. They have no influence over the business that picks up or delivers the cargo. They subcontracted Bay Area Express Moving for my relocation, and I've already placed a review for them on Google. Safe Ship just can not care less about my complaints about the relocation. Several things were incorrect. The team arrived at the tail end of the four-hour packing window on the day of packing. All were extremely nice in nature, however one smelled like smoke and another like liquor. Boxes were not correctly packed on the vehicle, resulting in crushed boxes. The truck was not loaded in such a way that it would take up as little space as necessary. We were first assured (several times) that we could use our card for both the pickup and the drop-off. I had to go acquire a money order, which had not been arranged. The delivery day was worse. Items which were informed required to be specially packaged were not, despite the fact that they were paid for it (twice, once when I made the deposit and again with the moving company-which they finally refunded after a fight). Safe Ship, on the other hand, refused to refund the $200 that they had previously charged me. Also, on the day of the move, they only had the driver and ONE employee unloads the entire truck, which was extremely inefficient. To make matters worse, there was inclement weather, and several of our boxes were left in the rain for an extended amount of time due to a shortage of labor. To make it worse, the one other person that turned there was absolutely high! Not only that, but he had smoked in his vehicle right outside our door!! That's unprofessional, regardless of whether it's legal or medicinal. I called Safe Ship during the delivery, thereafter, and the next day to get everything worked out, and the customer service was awful. Do not hire this firm; instead, spend the money on a POD or anything more reliable. It is the worst service we have ever had for the absurd expense of the relocation (2K move than estimated-TWICE), and we have had many military moves that were less than glamorous and yet better than this. They don't give a damn about who they hire, and it shows.

Caution!!

Safe Ship Moving acts as a middleman. They have no influence over the firm that picks up or delivers the load. The actual moving firm misplaced 12% of the boxes they picked up. Their customer service is appalling. They don't follow up, so you have to contact them. The firm that picked up my load called Insta-Movers. Insta-Movers' customer service is on par with Safe Ship Moving's.

I was really amazed by "no surprises," such as NO price increases, someone all the time able to answer questions, and our things delivered almost on the day we expected them to arrive. A company that is trustworthy, ethical, and professional. We would absolutely recommend and hire them again.
