Was told one price over the phone and was given another price when the movers got here
BEWARE I was quoted 6,000 for a move, and when I declined due to that being too much, he called back with a different price of 2500 to meet my budget. When it was time to move the movers “Cross Country Movers” looked at my storage and informed that they would have to charge me 1200 more to take everything. At this point I only allowed them to take my furniture because my back is against the wall. There were also other people’s furniture in this truck. After talking with them about that, they told me they had other deliveries but would deliver my things tomorrow. I told them that I was told that I would get my things the same day and he then agreed that he would deliver my furniture by 9 pm. I have called and called left messages and an email and no one has contacted me and it is 10pm. DO NOT HiRe this company to provide moving services.

Eagle Moving Group is a BROKER - don NOT USE!!!
Do NOT use this company!!!!! These people are a moving broker. If they contract the services out to a crappy mover you are 100% screwed!!! They have ZERO control over the quality or professionalism of the movers. I have talked to multiple people at Eagle Moving Group and they are very nice, but they have no control and can not do ANYTHING but be nice on the phone and tell you to call back later. I sent a list of 16 complaints based on my nightmare experience with the moving company and the response was was, "There was no breach of contract so we will NOT offer any discounts". They said on the phone during the sales call, you have a full load so it should be 2-4 days. The estimate says 2-14 days based on DOT regulations and TODAY they told me the movers tariff says 21-30 days. We are now on day 16 and past the DOT guidelines and NOW they tell me about the "movers tariff" whatever that is!!!! I can not express what a nightmare this has been. Here are a FEW of the complaints I sent to them that do NOT qualify as a breach of contract. 1-Movers did not blanket wrap my son's dresser and then slid it up the stairs on the top. 2- Wrapped my desk in a blanket so that the blanket blocked the whole desk from floor to the top of the desk using more space to increase cubic square footage used. 3-They did not have any tools, so they could not minimize the space from the metal bed frames or remove the stand from my 65" TV. I have ZERO confidence that it will survive the move. 4-The moving blankets they used were torn and filthy 5-They strapped $3500 worth of mattresses to the ramp on the back of the truck. 6-They left trash in every room. Use this moving brokerage at your own risk!
WORSE EXPERIENCE EVER
I Wouldn’t Recommend This Company to my Worst Enemy. Quoted one thing, had No Idea the $1,168 dp was for a Broker Fee. I was promised by Andres Papadakis that that would be All I had to pay when I booked my entire move. Per my Eagle Contract my things would be delivered in 2-14 days…As per our phone conversation I needed my things as early as 4/4/22 as I would be starting my new job Andres very agreement with me was “delivery 5-7 days”. Estimate/Order #E3861287. When the movers came out they told me my fees for them would be based on cubit feet/not everything I Specifically Told Andres I was moving and I had to pay them $2,080 to take my things to put in a storage somewhere in New Orleans. Mind you, my things were picked up on 3/29/22 and I still have not gotten them delivered to me from B.R.,La to Minneapolis,MN. Can’t Ever Get Andreas on the phone(no one answers their lines EVER. PLEASE BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY/PELICAN MOVERS/ROAD RUNNER VAN LINES. Then on top of that I was told that WHENEVER…my things are delivered I would be expected to pay an additional $2,080.
Terrible Experience
What they did not do? As soon as the guy came in, he started hitting on my wife by saying - “you look so beautiful”. Then proceeded to double the charge. When my wife declined, they charged $600 to unload our stuff and kept $1400 deposit they already took. NEVER use them. Worst experience ever!
Worst experience ever!!!
We will never hire or recommend this company to any of our relatives. Please be aware, I cannot advise you to read the contract because important details are not included. Pick up was an hour late, and the pricing was altered at the time of pick up, with us removing a whole bedroom, washer, dryer, refrigerator, and a few yard things. We just relocated two bedrooms, and we should have moved the goods ourselves. We are now waiting for our belongings, which we were informed could take up to a week. Please keep in mind that this was a traumatic moving experience!!! I would have given it a negative star if I could.
DO NOT USE THEM!
ARRIVAL WAS 3 WEEKS AFTER B EING TOLD IT WOULD ONLY BE A FEW DAYS. SLEEPING ON THE FLOOR WITH VERY FEW ITEMS PACKED SINCE WE WERE ONLY EXPECTING A FEW DAYS WITHOUT OUR BELONGINGS. ITEMS WERE BROKEN AND MISSING. BEWARE! SCAM MOVED FROM WASHINGTON TO ARIZONA--SHORT DISTANCE
Scammers
Scam artists! This company is the worst company I have ever dealt with. I am still waiting for a refund. They outsourced our move and the company that came to move us said Eagle didn’t pay them and we were stuck with paying them the rest of the money plus what we had already paid Eagle. To make things worse, the photos show the “white glove service” Eagle promised us. This is how our stuff was dropped off. Even getting our stuff back was a nightmare and involved me threatening to call the police. I feel if I wouldn’t have done that they were going to steal our belongings. And guess who was unreachable during this whole debacle? Eagle! Save yourself from being scammed and go with Penske. They are $16,000 cheaper than Eagle (that is not a joke!) and Penske will reimburse your gas! Penske can be reached at 1-844-847-9517.
Good job
It was incredible to watch the guys operate so effectively. We had previously packed the larger goods, but we were concerned about the glass cabinets. The team, on the other hand, was fantastic and was able to transfer and unload all of our belongings in a timely manner. I would strongly recommend it to anyone who needs assistance moving.
This is just a moving broker. They rely on contracted moving trucks with low ratings.
We found what we first thought was a good moving company called Eagle Moving. Their Google reviews were also positive and they had decent ratings. We spoke with a moving coordinator from there who set up the pick-up and delivery date for us. From there, the coordinator gave us an estimate of $7,600 for the total move and we were able to put down a deposit to secure the move. The movers made it to our house at the approximate date and time for pick-up. There were several unusual things about them. First, they arrived in a 16' moving truck. Luckily, everything seemed to fit in it. They advised that they were not Eagle Moving and that they were called APX moving. Apparently, Eagle Moving was simply a moving broker and had contracts with other moving trucks. Had we known this, we wouldn't have entrusted Eagle Moving to touch our property. Also, the movers appraised our belongings on the day of pick-up when normally, movers appraise your belongings in advance to provide a more secure estimate. Even though everything fit into the truck, the movers advised that we underestimated our belongings and were going to charge us another $5641.54. They also advised us that the only payment they would accept for delivery was either cash or through postal checks. They declined wire transfers, cashier checks, and debit/credit payments, even though they allowed my husband to pay for half of the pick-up cost with his debit card. This seemed very sketchy to us, but we had to move out of our house before the new owners moved in. The movers advised us that they would be arriving in Michigan on 03/02/2022. They also provided us paperwork with the confirmed delivery date. They were fully aware of our new address which was located in an apartment complex. It took my husband and I 3 days to get to Michigan. We arrived on 03/01/2022 and we were expecting APX Moving to arrive the following day. We called them to obtain an estimated time; however, the representative we spoke with told us that the movers made a mistake by telling us that they would arrive on 03/02/2022 with our belongings and that normally by contract, it takes within 20 business days! We were not advised of this contract! We were lied to! That representative was extremely rude on the phone and she advised that nobody was assigned to the truck with our belongings yet. According to APX, the pick-up movers were different from the delivery movers. In the meantime, we were left in a completely empty apartment with not even a bed to sleep in. My husband had to leave to start another 20-day rotation for work and he couldn't bear the thought of me sleeping on the floor, so he went out of his way to buy another mattress for me to sleep in. We also had to buy needed kitchen items and towels. We spent about $1,500 on things that we needed to get us by until the movers came. After numerous complaint calls to APX, the movers advised that they would be arriving on 03/08/2022, but they didn't show up. I had to call them again to complain. The driver of the truck called me later that day to inform me that he would be arriving the next day. Apparently, he was driving from Ohio, which is not the common route you would take to get to Michigan from Arizona. On 03/09/2022, the movers did show up to the apartment complex; however, our belongings were transferred from the 16' truck to an 18-wheeler semi truck. I'm not sure why they couldn't travel in the same truck, but it did cause an even greater conflict as the large semi couldn't fit through the parking lot. Because of this, they had to re-transfer all of our belongings back to the 16' truck from the large semi. Even though this was not my problem, they were going to hold our belongings hostage unless I paid them an additional $1,960 for "their trouble." The truck driver was trying to explain to me that he did not work for APX moving, even though he had APX contract papers in his hand. He advised he was from Accessibility Moving and that I could issue that additional payment of $1,960 to his company through Zelle. I asked if I could drive my husband's pick up truck to their truck and personally move our things. He said "no." He also wanted the postal checks before they started their delivery. He warned me that if I did not make a quick decision, our things would not be delivered. After payments were squared away, they started to bring things to our apartment that were not even ours! These were things that belonged to someone else! I was trying to explain this to them, but they looked confused then took the items away. This made me very concerned. After some time, they were finally able to locate most of our things. After they finished their delivery, I noticed that there were about 8 items that were missing including my husband's circular saw. The truck driver advised me that we had 90 days to file a damaged/lost item claim. They didn’t care enough to stick around to answer any of my questions.
