SCAMMERS!
This place is horrible, Mark gave me a low quote, even though I told him I needed a 26' truck, and he said that's all they ever use. So the people he sent to my home had a 20' truck and I asked them where is the 26' foot truck I asked for and they said that what Mark wrote up should fit in this truck. I showed them what I had and they assured me they could fit it all in the truck, and it would only cost me another $4,000! I burst into tears because I didn't have the money so I started scrambling to try and borrow the money. I called Mark and he said I was the one at fault, and I reminded him how he hadn't wrote down everything I had told him and he said his manager would call, which he didn't. This company is filled with scammers who give you a low quote and then on moving day the company they contract out to demand more money. He also didn't tell me that the company they contract with does not bring your items to the moving location but to their storage unit for an undisclosed amount of time. Long enough for me to get my big tv stolen, and my brand-new hand truck from Costco. I thought that might get stolen since the movers were using my hand truck instead of their red rickety one that they showed up with. They were only able to load 2/3 of my items and left the rest for me to figure out. I was in a bind because I was already 2 days past my move out date so I couldn't cancel them. If you want to be lied to, scammed for more money and have your things stolen then this is the company you should choose!
Worst Moving Company in the World, Negative Stars.
I cannot give All Coast Moving a low enough rating. They subcontract to someone, who in turn subcontracts the real movers who arrive. claims to be your sales representative and that you can reach her at any time. You can call, but don't expect to get an answer. She will never return your call, text, or email. You don't exist after she has your money. Then there's the manager who will say or promise anything just to get you off the phone. Everything she says is a lie; she has no intention of assisting you and only wishes for you to hang up thinking she will in the future. All Coast is one of the most stressful things you can do, and this firm will make it even more so. Remember that whatever "contract" you sign with them is merely a recommendation, and the actual sub-subcontractors are not required to follow any of it. 1 to 10 days? Meh, it may be 3-21 days, it could be 9 months, who knows, All coast doesn't and doesn't care. Furthermore, they are only in the office from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Miami time. This means that if you live on the West Coast, like me, and have an issue, you have no one to turn to, which is unfortunate. They want to be a national corporation without having to work national hours. Big move day arrives, some random sub-subcontractor arrives, and begins packing your belongings. What they are making you sign isn't what you agreed to, and what you are being charged isn't what you agreed to, so you're on your own. You can call them the next day, and make any promise to get you off the phone.
Caution with them!! THIEVES
My personal experiences are detailed below. If given the option, I would not use them again and would not recommend them to others. Prior to the relocation, the main office was responsive and helpful. She was either unresponsive or acted as a roadblock to getting answers/resolutions after the agreement was signed. On the day of the move, the foreman insisted on a $400 cash payment. This stuff appeared to be more than what was originally quoted. My personal experiences are detailed below. Poor service and misplaced items from Florida to DC
While packing, the movers smashed a glass table, then classified practically every item as a Box with no explanations, despite the fact that every box was labeled. The movers loaded all of my belongings into the truck and then left; when they returned to DC many days later than expected, my belongings were on a separate vehicle. Without accounting for the missing goods, the price increased from $3400 to $7400. They also misplaced some important goods, and I had to negotiate with another firm, claimpros.org, to resolve my claim. This firm only offered me $87 to cover the $3,800 is missing or damaged things. I was forced to deal Even though I phoned All Coast Moving Group LLC numerous times in to check if they had found my missing belongings, they were unhelpful. I still haven't received a contact from safebound about my missing stuff.
LIARS!
They kept trying to charge me for moving; the products arrived later than expected. Worse, many objects were shattered or missing (furniture, ceramics, etc). (i.e. stolen - and the company never found them or offered to look for them). A laptop computer, many high-priced prints and vintage (collector's item) plates, as well as bank and personal records They, pressed me to return the items, claiming that if I handled the packing, it would not be a "professional" packing operation and would not be insured. As a result, they crammed the kitchen. Grey pieces of paper were used for their "professional" packaging work. and just wrap things in paper, then stuff them into boxes willy nilly in random fashion; many things were broken in this manner. They outright lied to Yelp about a review I tried to put there after the move, threatening Yelp to get them to remove my review (they succeeded - and a number of their restricted reviews were written by friends). They changed its name only a few years ago, which is normally a red flag because it frequently suggests a firm is concealing something, and they have complaints with the Better Business Bureau. They connected me with an insurance company that ultimately refused to support any claim.
BEAWARE !! Avoid them!!
This is a brokerage firm that will promise you the moon. Then they employ a New Jersey subcontractor who will push you to resend the original contract and agree to a bill of lading and contract for much more money. They are meant to charge by the pound, but they will inform you that you have more cubic feet than expected. You're promised a delivery window of 5 to 10 days, then given one of 7 to 21 days. The movers anticipate arriving between 7 and 9 p.m. today, a Friday night. We fear to think about the state of our property when it comes. Do not use this broker since they are dishonest, do not respond to phone calls, and will do everything to obtain a deposit from you but will not respect their contract.
Assholes
All Coast Moving Group LLC shattered my washing machine, tore up my couch, and dented my table. They refused to bring my household goods inside the house after my wife begged them to, and I had to assemble all of my own furniture after they claimed they would reassemble it. They also misquoted me on an estimate, labeled me a liar, and then apologized when they realized I was correct. Mafia types who are disorganized and lack organizational leadership.
from Cambrigde to Salem
That's why I only gave one star.
I prepared my relocation for two months and was not informed of the cash-only policy until 30 minutes before the movers arrived. On Sep 1 moves, they charge $171 an hour (for 2 people, 1 truck), so that was $684 I was required to have on hand. They refused to take any other payment option, so I had to get a friend to transfer money to my account (since I planned to use my credit card), go to an ATM during my move, and receive no discount at all. Moreover, despite being my designated communications person, from their office did not answer to my SMS that day until the movers contacted her to get back to me. When I asked the movers to wear masks while moving my belongings into the new house (I had six housemates moving in on the same day), they refused. There was a large wooden cabinet in my room that I requested the movers dismantle downstairs before carrying anything up, but they also refused. Yes, the task was completed.
Worst moving company I've ever used.
All Coast Moving Group LLC provided a very awful experience. Contract terms were entirely disregarded. The container's delivery date of 9-11 business days was extended to 24 business days. I requested one overnight storage at the destination for unloading, and they gave me five days unless I wanted to wait another two weeks. To keep the big container on the street for so long, I had to deal with the cops. Their support line is horrible - after being on hold for an eternity, Kyle the "resolution manager" was incredibly useless and indicated that waiting was our only choice because all scheduling and timeframes were "subject to availability" under a small link to the company's regulations on the contract. It makes no difference what the conditions of your contract are; they just do whatever they want with your belongings. Absolute disaster - I've never worked with a worse company. Please do not make use of them.
Crooks
They crashed the vehicle into our house and refuse to pay for the damage. RAT IN A PACK All Coast Moving Group LLC was contracted to drive the vehicle that delivered our pod. They drove into a retaining wall in our driveway. Their claims procedure was antiquated, but they eventually indicated that if we paid a mason to rebuild the wall and produced an itemized invoice, they would reimburse us for the damage. Even though we signed a contract with All Coast Moving Group LLC, they never paid us. It's been months, and they're still making excuses ("it slipped between the gaps for the accounts payable team") for not repaying us. It feels like I'm dealing with an inept, if not criminal, company. I would recommend hiring any other mover you can find.
