At Best, High Risk; At Worst, Bordering on Scam
I recently contracted with All Coast Moving (allcoastmovinggroup.com/), out of FL, for the transportation of goods from Oregon to Minnesota. All Coast subcontracted the move to Neville and Son Trucking, without my consent, and now I have no way of reaching anybody at that organization to find out where the goods may be today. This whole sequence has been a series of fraudulent business tactics including price gouging and extortion. If I do reach somebody the answer is 'call when we're in the office'. To date I have paid the booking fee and half of transportation. The cost estimate TRIPLED from the original quote, and an additional $4,000 have been tacked on to the final tally with no accounting. To date I have paid +$8,000, and am on the hook for another $4,600 to receive my goods. All coast says the goods are still pending load to delivery, however they are now stating that in order for me to schedule a delivery date I must pay the remaining balance before they schedule delivery; this is in direct conflict with the contract. As this has been a series of escalating costs and delays, I asked how much more do I have to pay and her response was basically “you must pay all that the delivery company charges in order to schedule delivery of your goods”. Transportation regulation violations include, but not limited to: Exceeding legal time limits for delivery, now in excess of 30 calendar days. Charging by cargo volume instead of cargo weight Charging more than 110% of original quote Demanding cash upon loading and delivery Online research shows this is a pattern of behavior for Neville and Son Trucking, and even more concerning is the reputation of the drivers they hire; several have been identified for having narcotics on the truck. People have lost their household goods for months with no recourse. I am a disabled veteran, and my entire life and company is on that truck, personal AND professional. I, and every other individual that contracts with All Coast or Neville and Sons, are being held hostage by two companies who have established a practice of 'punting' the customers back and forth with unclear answers and continuous demands for more money. Customer Complaints for Neville and Son https://www.bbb.org/us/fl/winter-garden/profile/moving-companies/neville-and-son-trucking-llc-0733-90579300/complaints Customer Complaints for All Coast moving https://www.bbb.org/us/fl/boca-raton/profile/moving-brokers/all-coast-moving-group-llc-0633-90591783 What is key here is this organization contracting with a company, one with the reputation of Neville and Son Trucking, without giving the individual making the move the opportunity to verify the organization actually handling the goods. https://www.bbb.org/us/fl/winter-garden/profile/moving-companies/neville-and-son-trucking-llc-0733-90579300 Without the ability to comment on who actually hauls the goods, additional risk is placed on the individual moving, and one for which All Coast has yet to respond in an effective manner. I do not dispute your response; I do question the actions of contracting companies with absolutely terrible track records and placing that risk on the consumer without their consent. What's interesting to note about the increase is that the cargo doubled, the cost tripled with no explanation regarding detail of charges, including the "other binding estimate fee". Requests to you, as well as Neville and Son, have yielded no results.
Horrible
This firm is a mess, and the reviews are completely made up. I blame myself for not disregarding the 5 star review because it's just BULL****. They loaded my belongings on December 27th, and I've been calling and contacting them to find out where they are. The first justification was that it would be delivered in 3-5 days; those days passed, and I contacted them again, only to be told that there was a problem with the truck and that it would be delivered in another 3-5 days; those 3-5 days passed, and there was still no furniture. I've been in my residence for almost two months. This organization is a scam, and they should be embarrassed by themselves. I felt taken advantage of, and when I asked for a discount due to the delay, he informed me, "Well, we have 21-30 days to deliver." If I knew I'd be lied to every time I called, I'd have delivered it personally. I'm going to report them to the BBB, and fuck this company. DO NOT EVEN CONSIDER USING THEM!!! STAY OUT OF THE WAY. I'M GOING TO POST THIS REVIEW ON EVERY PLATFORM I CAN FIND. AT ALL COSTS, AVOID ALL COAST MOVERS. I was then charged a $175 cost on top of the original price, claiming that it was a distance cost from the storage facility to the truck, despite the fact that when I set everything up, I told them I had a warehouse.
Scammers
These folks are a total rip-off! Use them at your own risk! They raised the price, swapped movers, and failed to deliver all of my belongings. A Red Leather Recliner from Scandinavian Designs is missing. $3,500.00 in value. I'm going to contact a lawyer today.
Efficient company
It was a simple and effective moving service. They made my relocation less difficult. The movers were competent and handled my belongings with care. I am delighted to work with them and would strongly suggest them! Thank you All Coast Moving Group LLC!
Good experience
The All Coast Moving Group was a huge help. They move quickly and with caution. I was moving from Seattle, Washington to Tampa, Florida, and I had nothing but praise for them. They are incredibly professional, considerate, make you feel at ease, and offer excellent rates. Nobody else but “All Coast Moving Group” comes highly recommended by me.
Excellent move
To begin, I'd like to thank All Coast, their customer support team, the staff that loaded the truck, and Mike for being the point of contact for any questions. This has made our week a little simpler. We still have several boxes to open, but it is all set up and ready to go.
