AWFUL MOVE
Awful experience. The salesman I spoke with first was excellent, which makes total sense, but every one after that had a lack of professionalism and customer support. They added fees at each step of the process. My belongings came in bad condition, and the movers pretended as if nothing was happening. I had packages that were literally shattered, with breakable stuff tumbling out. I filed a claim but have yet to receive a response. I paid a lot of money, more than I agreed to, and they ruined things, had to deal with stress for weeks, and now I have broken valuable objects for which no one has apologized or repaid me.
Easy move
The simple booking process with live chat to minimize any miscommunication or errors. This two-man job comes at a good price. The pickup was done from the first floor because the items were heavy. During the journey, my stuff was carefully protected. It was a pleasant and simple moving experience. I don't know how to express my gratitude to these people; they come highly recommended.
Really bad experience
Holy cow, the damage to our possessions is unbelievable. We used brand new Home Depot boxes, half of which were their "heavy duty" and, well, if I can upload pictures, I will. I put a bunch on google. It's so bad, it looks like someone was doing it on purpose. So far, I've only looked at half the boxes, but I can't believe what I'm seeing. I tried to contact Jackson Movers (Mike and Chad were in charge of my move), neither called back nor e-mailed. Mike also lied to me about becoming a "full-service" moving company. The people who delivered our property told me they weren't working for Jackson Movers at all. The person in charge of the delivery, JR, even tried to tell us that he could not get the truck to our neighborhood, so they would have to charge us an additional $750. When we told him the other moving vans were in there, it was $600, then $500, then I showed him a photo of another van parking in front of our house, and he eventually gave up and pulled the truck in. He was still insisting on another $150, and everything had to be in cash. (Mike told me that we could pay by credit card in advance or by money order on the day of delivery, but the delivery guy would only take cash.) I had to ask this guy for a receipt for an extra $150, and he wrote that the fee came from the people who picked up our things, not him. JR had to remind me 50 times that it wasn´t his fault, and that he was super awesome. He also reminded me many times that there was no need to search whether all the boxes were in there. He had already checked. B.S. I've made 3 transcontinental movements in the last 10 years, and 7 long distance moves before that. I've never seen anything like this before. It hurts when all your stuff is taken hostage.
Unpunctual service!
They gave an estimate of 1-3 p.m. and did not arrive until 3:40 p.m., which was nervous and frustrating. The telephone service promptly picked up and tried to help locate them. The actual moving staff were very polite, useful and effective to make up for the delay.
Excellent service
Kevin and his crew were incredibly efficient and quick to move around. Nothing had been lost or broken. They were also very respectful, polite, thoughtful, friendly, and professional. If that's the quality you're looking for in a moving company, make sure you book it for your moving services!
Great experience!
Well, just moved us this morning. Everything was fantastic, very quick, professional and completed within the time allocated. I'm sure I'm going to suggest them to friends who're moving, and Jackson Movers is going to be my first call when I move again.
Really helpful
I recently relocated from a small studio to a 2 bedroom home. Since I've been searching for a moving company and I've been referring to Jackson Movers, I've been giving them a try. It's been really economical and supportive since I got a back injury. They did everything for me to pack, load and unload. I will highly recommend it to them.
