My experience with these movers was quite negative.

Because Van Lines of America LLC refused to provide me with weight tickets, I was forced to weigh my own stuff. The weight they billed me for was more than 1,000 pounds heavier than the actual weight. They also imposed item-specific costs after their first quotation, despite the fact that I revealed these things at the time of the initial quote. They also misplaced a package and harmed a sofa, washing machine, dryer, weight bench, box spring, and grill.

Unethical.

This firm provided us with a single price and we paid the needed deposit. When they arrived, they demanded that we tear up that contract and sign one for twice the weight! I didn't feel obligated to be present for a tiny one-bedroom apartment relocation for our kid because this was an agreed-upon estimate. They bullied my wife into signing a new contract at double the weight and expense, threatening her with the loss of her deposit. What a shame this organization should not be allowed to do business and clearly did everything in its power to be unethical. DON'T SUBJECT YOUR FAMILY TO THIS TREATMENT.

Bad luck with they.

I'm not even sure whether this is a legitimate business. They delivered our pod late, which was an oversight that we had to bring to their attention. I shouldn't have to explain why this is a problem, but the main issue was that our movers were no longer accessible because the pod would not arrive on the scheduled date. Our pod has arrived in the new city. It took them two weeks to get back to us and set up a drop-off date. DURING THAT TIME, THEY CHARGED US FOR TAKEN SO LONG. I REPEAT, THEY CHARGED US A STORAGE FEE BECAUSE IT TOOK THEM MORE THAN TWO WEEKS TO SCHEDULE THE Pod.

DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS IF YOU DO NOT WISH TO BE SCREWED OVER!

I'd leave no stars if I could. Don't give them your money! This firm is awful. It is apathetic, nasty, and unprofessional. I've never experienced such bad service. We moved across the nation and paid for expedited shipping to arrive on our move-in date. It was assured that it would be delivered by the time we moved in. No pod arrives on move-in day. Call to find out where it is; no one knows, and they have no idea when it will be delivered. If you see this review, please take your business elsewhere. Nothing is worse than having all of your stuff lost in transportation with no idea when or if they will be delivered as promised. And then you have to deal with nasty, useless customer support representatives while you're simply trying to find your items. Oh, and they overcharged me, and I still don't have my belongings! Worst business ever!

This is a joke of a business

Extremely unprofessional. Their support service takes hours to contact, they were late dropping off our shell, and the WORST part is that I phoned them on the day our shell was due to arrive and IT HAD NOT EVEN LEFT THE ORIGINAL CITY. And we wouldn't have known if I hadn't contacted them!! They couldn't tell us when it was going to arrive or when it was going to leave. If they don't handle this appropriately, I'm thinking about filing a lawsuit - we're paying rent on a property we can't live into! Do not use this disgusting company!

Dreadful service

I was relocating from  California to Salt Lake City and found the salesman to be really helpful and truthful. They sent me a container that wouldn't close and didn't care that it was going to rain and would leak into it. It was necessary for me to tarp it myself. When I arrived to pick it up, the driver confessed that they had a lot of containers that don't close. Another surprise is the storage charge,' which the 'honest' salesperson assured me was already included. I asked him directly if it was included in the price. The entire pick-up process took four phone calls and continual disinformation. The delivery time was approximately the same because they promised 8 a.m. and then told me it was an estimate after I phoned because they are not open yet displaying up That means I had a moving team waiting for them, and they really showed up! Be aware that if you contact Van Lines of America LLC, you will be speaking with someone in Florida or somewhere in the south who is only staring at a computer screen and has no genuine information other than the script they are provided. They're only doing their jobs; the problem is the middleman.

wont give your refund back

Is there a rating of 0? What a dreadful experience. The local loaders had no idea how many containers I required, causing a delay in pick-up and delivery. The damage was far too substantial to be concerned about. They should have cost me for one month of storage, but they continued to bill me $700 per month for five months after the delivery. I made many phone calls and sent lengthy emails to clarify my mistake. I received no response until I discovered the CEO's email address online. My refund arrived very quickly when I wrote the CEO (he didn't answer, of course). They have no idea what they are doing. Locals buy the franchise and have no experience with relocation, logistics, staffing, and so on. Stay away, because my experience could not have been more negative. Pay more and go with a reputable company.

Do not hire them.

When I originally phoned to set up a date for Van Lines of America LLC  to come by, they told me one pricing and that they would deliver a completely other size POD. When the date arrived, I was given a little TRAILER that, for whatever reason, cost twice as much as what I was informed over the phone. After the delivery of the trailer, I contacted the office and informed them. They stated that the individual I spoke with was from their sibling firm, Packrat. So I said, "Why didn't I get stuff from Packrat since that's who I talked to and got the price from?" The individual went on to say that because Packrat was unable to attend, they took up my request. Without notifying me in any way that this was done or that the price and size of the transport unit would change. The trailer was too tiny for what we required, and they wanted to charge us $2,000 for canceling the move with them; I refused to pay because they were not the business with whom I had made an agreement. After filing a chargeback and fraud claim with my bank, I was able to acquire a Uhaul for $682 instead.
