Lookout with this scamming company
We were extremely disappointed and will never recommend this company to anyone for a cross-country (our situation) or even a local move. We have yet to receive our items, and we currently do not have an estimated departure OR arrival date for our items, which were picked up in California 17 days ago. If at all possible, I would give a 0-star rating. This company is not at all what it claims to be on its website. They are not a moving company, but they know how to store your belongings and leave them there in coordination with whichever random second-rate moving company they decide to do business with.
Really Bad Experience
Gave them "$899" deposit. The man who took the deposit has a disconnected phone number. His email address does not work. No phone numbers on the wedsite work. "561 600 1439" unavailable. "888 315 3691" unavailable. "888 565 5734" not in service. Had no way to cancel their service. Lisa Romano "561 565 6301" called 1 week before scheduled pickup date. I tried to cancel then, but not possible. Was told the man who got my deposit no longer worked for the company. Basically stole my "$899", was given no way to contact them by phone or email.
Nasty movers, damaged items, and a dreadful experience
I booked Pinnacle Moving and Storage LLC through a broker, Five Star Moving. The entire drop off gave me the impression that Thomas from Five Star will say anything to get a sale. My things were picked up on August 29, and I was told I would receive them on August 30th or 31st, and that the movers may disassemble and remove a bed from the drop-off site. Neither of these things happened. Following the pick-up on August 29th, I attempted to contact Legacy to find out when my things will be delivered. "Not to sound like a jerk, but deliveries aren't our priority because we have 21 days to make them," said John, a Pinnacle Moving and Storage LLC employee. The latter was a remark made by Scott, who stated numerous times that I needed to tip his crew in order for things to be done. My father had to disassemble the bed and assist the movers in removing it from my home. To make matters worse, a number of my belongings were destroyed. I filed a claim the week after the drop; it was accepted by a third-party firm on September 28; nevertheless, I did not get a payment for such damages. They were meant to submit within 45 days of receiving permission. If I could, I'd give them 0 stars.
from St. Cloud to Duluth
I would never hire or refer these folks.
It was a dreadful experience. I was sold something over the phone and something else in person. The staff' experience and professionalism were poor at best. When I called to inquire about the 2 hours it takes to pack a storage unit, I was directed to the owner. The owner attempted to blame me for everything I said to him and hung up on me at one point. He instructed his staff to cease unloading my belongings without saying anything to me. The owner acted as though I was lying about my experience and what I had been informed over the phone. I was treated with contempt and was very shocked.
I have lost my items.
There was a lot of confusion between the actual movers and the company. I ended up having to pay a lot of extra fees. When my furniture came, they chose to leave all of the dismantled furniture and continue with their other project. On top of that, my television was stolen.
good experience
From booking to delivery, the service was excellent. Great value. The delivery driver was really helpful. My driver handled a complicated problem admirably. Highly recommended! thank you for taking the time to look over your move. We're relieved to discover that everything was managed correctly from beginning to end, particularly in terms of dialogue. I will forward your positive feedback to everyone involved.
disastrous
This corporation canceled right the day of our out-of-state move! It became a highly delicate topic when we had to rent a truck, get the help of strong friends to pack the truck, drive the vehicle for 13 hours ourselves, then engage moving workers in our new state (because we had no strong friends there). They are now refusing to refund my deposit! Stay away from this business at all prices.
Awful
This firm tries to persuade you to accept a cheaper estimate, then once you pay the initial payment (they request to use zelle instead of credit card). The customer service is awful. This firm is unethical, and they do not care to answer consumers' emails for the provided reason.
Beware.
Beware! Please avoid doing business with this firm. they will tell you anything to obtain your signature and offer to return your deposit if you cancel, but the poor billing department will refuse to reimburse you. Last-minute out-of-state relocation resulted in a loss of $850 and no services delivered.
Hired
I would refer it to anyone in need of having something relocated. We had many goods picked up in Minnesota and they arrived in Florida the same day. Two thumbs up for making my relocation so simple. I am really impressed with their service and would hire them again without reservation.
