BROKER AND SCAM! Nationwide Moving is same as National Moving

this is called National Moving Services now and has a 4-star review on the internet (probably paid for) but is the same as Nationwide Moving Services!!! It’s a broker company and a scam!!! I would rather be robbed at gunpoint rather than robbed by what they did to me. The broker company they used was Cobra Van Lines and also so horrible. Please for the love of god do not use this company. If I was wealthier, I’d sue them for the way that they treated me. With a lowball quote and hidden fees that They were insanely unprofessional and rude and impossible to contact. I was moving from FL to PA for school. I was only contacted about pick-up and delivery of my items 16 hours in advance which is absolutely not acceptable since I had to plan when to empty my old apartment and when to arrive at my new (empty) apartment. They arrived a day later than promised without letting me know until 16 hours beforehand (they assured me they’d let me know 2-4 days beforehand but then no one picked up my calls). Upon pick-up, charged an extra $800 (despite being late and forcing me to work harder to clean the apartment before my lease was up) for hidden fees. Upon delivery, they kept changing the date of delivery 6-16 hours beforehand (keep in mind I had to CANCEL my flight in because they expected me to WAIT IN AN EMPTY APARTMENT FOR 30 DAYS TIL THEY DELIVER — my furniture has been sitting in a warehouse near my Florida apartment for 1.5 weeks). Then when they finally arrived, they charged an extra hidden fee for a “shuttle service” that no one agreed to. And then more for elevators etc — in the end I paid over twice as much as expected. I signed the contract for $1850 and ended up paying well over $4000. For the extremely rude customer service (especially Heidi at CobraVan lines and Jennifer at National Moving Services) and hidden fees and late delivery/pick up, this has been the worst moving experience of my life. And I hired them to make it easier. I wish I just packed my stuff up myself, so please save your money and go somewhere else. I wish I could sue these companies but I hope you all see this and put them out of business.

Learn from my $3300 mistake

Never do business with a mover that asks for money upfront. Legitimate movers never will. Never do business with a mover that doesn’t come to your home to make the quote and give you a “not to exceed” price. Legitimate movers will come to home and give a “not to exceed” price. Never do business with a moving broker. They can outsource your move to anybody. Could be a small, an incompetent and/or an unreliable mover. Nationwide moving taught me these three lessons the hard way. I was forced to cancel my move with Nationwide and, of course, they kept my $3300 deposit. Nationwide IS NOT a moving company but rather a Moving Broker. I did not understand this but I sure learned it after it was too late. After I paid my $3300 upfront deposit they outsourced my move to what they even called “a mom and pop shop” out-of-state mover. Unfortunately I had a hard closing date on the sale of my house and valuable furniture and could risk it all to an outsourced mom-pop-shop. I was therefore forced to cancel with Nationwide and go with a legitimate mover. Of course Nationwide wouldn’t give me my $3300 back. Shame on me for not doing more research on Nationwide and not know how to read a bill-of-lading. Shame on Nationwide for not being upfront and walking me through what I was agreeing to. Lying by omission is still a lie. Avoid this company at all costs. Don’t believe anything they tell you. Pay more and use a legitimate mover. Please learn from my mistake.

Nationwide Moving

I'm not really sure where to start. This is THE ABSOLUTE WORST company I have ever been a customer of. Leo, Chris, Todd, and Veronica are the worst people I have ever spoken to in any customer service department of ANY company. That is not an over-exaggeration. PLEASE steer clear of the crooked methods by which this company practices. Their methods are deceitful, manipulative and wrong. The sad part is, when they get your money it's all over. They got ya where they want ya. They promise the world in the beginning. When you ask questions to clarify, they tell you, "Don't worry. Everything will be o.k. We are the best at this. We will take care of you." They are charming in the beginning and overtime turn into absolute monsters by the end of it. Their "math" for figuring out how big of a truck (or how many) it will take to move is guesswork at best. When their math is wrong, which I suspect it is nearly everytime, they blame the customer and then try to solve the situation by charging you double or triple (in our case) the original price for another truck. "Magically", things don't fit on the truck they sent. It is almost comical how bad these people are. No class. No empathy. No self awareness. If I could give them a negative number I would. They don't even deserve a 1-star. There is not a negative number large enough to reflect the disaster that this company is, when it comes to their moving division. Their customer service department even eventually stops taking your calls. Then again, what do they care? They get to steal people's money and getaway with it and move on to the next victim.

Top Notch Movers!

Amazing moving company! We’ve used them 3 times and were super happy every single time. They were always professional, polite, and very considerate. They got the job done fast and ensured our things were safe and protected. We’re currently using their storage and it’s way cheaper than the self-storage we used in the past. I highly recommend this company.

Trusty Movers!

My family moved. It seems to me that there were a lot of things. We worked on the packaging ourselves in order to manage to move in one day. In the new house, furniture was already assembled by company employees. In general, I did not regret contacting this company. Responsible and fast staff, excellent service, I was very pleased.

All did Well!

This was the first move in my life. And I did not risk it and ordered a complete package with packaging and unpacking. I have never regretted it, even if it costs a little more, but it's worth it. The guys had good packing materials and knew better how to pack things more compactly in order to win space and fit everything into the truck.

I liked the experience with this company

The entire team made every effort to ensure a smooth transition every step of the way. They were always prompt in addressing any questions or concerns I had. There was no "guessing game" in terms of the costs and services offered. The entire process was transparent. I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for a highly professional, courteous, and caring team.
