They're scammers!
Do Not Use This Company; they take advantage of unsuspecting customers. Mid Atlantic Van Lines Inc and Storage California, in my opinion, is conducting a swindle moving operation on its clients. My boyfriend and I just relocated from Los Angeles to Milwaukee, and we were able to reach anyone at Mid Atlantic Van Lines Inc within a few rings of a phone call. They are now IMPOSSIBLE to reach in order to receive all of my furniture, etc. Phone calls are disconnected, some numbers are sent to voicemail, and emails are not returned. We are anxiously trying to find out when we will receive our furniture, but they are refusing to cooperate. In dispatch, they have promised to react with an ETA four times and have yet to do so. According to our contract, "a corporate officer must call the customer to confirm delivery time period before the shipment leaves for the destination." This did not occur. The driver will notify the customer of the time period at least one day before the package is delivered. This, too, does not occur. Not to mention that our first estimate was greatly exaggerated. $1659 suddenly became $3005 due to expenses I was not aware of prior to booking with the firm.
Poor service
If I could, I would give them a "0" star. They arrived one hour late. There was no response from the team or the main office. On the day of the transfer, all attempts to contact the office were received with voice mail, which has yet to be answered. The first 15 minutes were spent organizing/preparing the boxes and other stuff already on the truck in order for my items to be loaded. I was paid $99 per hour (for a four-man staff of whom only three worked and the other "supervised"), which means I spent $25 watching them perform something that should have been done before they arrived. Finally, they did not complete all of the hours/time I was invoiced for, and they destroyed my property and personal stuff. Don't be swayed by celebrity endorsements; they simply mean that you have to be "famous" to get good service.
from San Francisco to San Bruno
It was my worst moving experience
I engaged Mid Atlantic Van Lines Inc in a relocation. While they appeared to be a very simple to deal with and competitively priced firm, be wary if something goes wrong. First, the one mover who looked to be in control practically extorted a $400 gratuity for himself and the other movers during the relocation. He claimed he wouldn't charge me all of these hidden costs if "I took care of them," and then he gave me his pricing. I was frightened that if I didn't give him what he demanded, they would "drop" or "lose" my belongings. When I inquired about insurance, he simply stated that nothing ever occurs, so I'll be OK. I didn't take the time (and should have) to read the tiny print since I was stressed out about relocating and he rushed me through signing all of the papers. When the movers came at my new address, one of the shelves on my glass entertainment stand was smashed (image attached), rendering the entire item unusable. When I contacted Elite about the damage, I was informed that they do not handle claims and that I would have to go via a third party. That procedure was not easy, and it was plainly meant to drive claimants to abandon their claims because it was so time-consuming and irritating. Even though Mid Atlantic Van Lines Inc was not at fault, it took three months to receive an offer of around $65 for a smashed glass piece of furniture (worth at approximately $500) that I had to replace and pay someone to install at a cost of approximately $300. I gave up fighting and consented to this settlement, as it is intended for you to do. It took a couple more weeks to receive the check. I strongly advise against using these.
Dreadful service
I can't begin to tell you how disgusted I am with my experience with your moving company Mid Atlantic Van Lines Inc.. When I called, I received an estimate with each item detailed, and when the people arrived at my property, they said the price was incorrect and gave us a totally different price with a very bad attitude and said he was going to call the company to refund the deposit, and they had the abuse of taking a video to my garage with my family inside and they left.
My moving
I requested a discount or compensation for them being THREE WEEKS late on their delivery and was told by the business owner that I'd "just have to eat that one." They violated their contractual obligations by delivering a large number of defective items. This is the most unprofessional and greedy organization I've ever had the misfortune to work with. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY unless you want to be taken advantage of.
Absolutely terrible service.
I was (falsely) promised a two-week transfer from Brooklyn, New York to Los Angeles, and it took them about five weeks to deliver my belongings. I called multiple times during the moving process, and the corporate office lied to me four times regarding the whereabouts of the vehicle carrying my belongings. Every time I contacted, I was told that I would get a call back within a few hours. I never received a call back no matter how many times I phoned. The salespeople will lie to you in order to get their commission, and then refuse to assist you once you've paid the deposit. They under-quoted me by nearly half the amount and refused to bargain even after I informed them of the increased pricing.
Thieves !
I think Mid Atlantic Van Lines Inc wrote all of the positive reviews you see on this website. Please do not use them; you will be sorry. My initial quotation was $3,300, but it ended up costing $9,700. I reside in a two-bedroom apartment. They charged me for 1906 cubic feet, despite the fact that I have documentation that it was only 750 cubic feet. Mid Atlantic Van Lines Inc, documentation shows two addresses. Your quotation will state Englewood, CO, but when they send someone (most likely Superior Moving), the paperwork will state Transworld and contain a New Jersey address.
My horror move is still going on.
I don't even know where to begin to describe how terrible, criminal, rude, and unprofessional this firm is. They offer you a quotation, collect your deposit, and then treble the quote when they arrive. They did not steal our automobile, as previously discussed. They picked up our belongings on March and we still haven't received them as of June No one has called me back, and there have been no updates. inclusion of this firm on their website is irresponsible. If you are having trouble with this firm, here are all of the phone numbers I need to contact.
Avoid them
They answer your calls right away and are always attentive before you give your money after you made your payment they do not answer their phone and ignore your emails These thieves collected my down payment and never answered my phone call. I'm going to file a lawsuit. They do not respond.
Scammer stole both property and money.
can help you plan a move from New York to North Carolina. He assured us that the fee was reasonable and that we had nothing to worry about. his 888-720-7374 number is still inaccessible via phone, text, or email 10 days later. They stole almost $1500 from us, and now a complete house's worth of merchandise is sitting someplace in New Jersey. the company is based in Colorado, but his cell phone number is in New Jersey. The insurance firm that has the cargo coverage is also unavailable. Everything points to a swindle thievery ring. Quoted $3000, then increased to $4600 once the truck was loaded.
