Worse moving experience ever
Having used this company to move from Florida to North Carolina we were horrified to see the amount of damage to our furniture and possessions on the day that the removal truck was unloaded. Damage included an office desk that was completely destroyed to the point that it was in pieces, with the contents left in the drawers and strewn all over the floor of the removal truck. Also, a three-seater leather sofa that had a hole ripped into the side of it, a tv cabinet where one of the glass doors was missing, damaged bedside cabinet with hole pushed through the top, broken china, broken linen baskets, broken stainless steel kitchen trash can. Furniture was stacked upside down in the van and when the movers tried to unload a bedroom dresser, all of the contents inside had not been packed and were left loose and were displaced everywhere. In addition to the substantial damages, they had lost all of the fittings to another bedroom set and were unable to put it back together on delivery. The movers reassembled a dining table which was left so unstable that nothing could be put on top. All that was required was to tighten the screws which they had not been bothered to do. How I wish I had chosen another company to have completed the move. And now some two months on, they have only just apologized for any inconvenience!
from NY to NY
It's terrible; don't use it!
They have prohibited me from posting on Facebook, therefore I will post elsewhere. Customer service is atrocious. They dispatched two contractors to relocate us. Aside from grumbling about not being paid by the hour, only one of them moved us, while the other stayed by the truck to avoid getting a penalty. Good Greek did not answer any of our calls for 1.5 hours the morning of because the goods they had listed were inaccurate, and we attempted to straighten it out. from customer care placed me on wait four times before finally assisting me. He'd be on the phone for hours and not say anything. At 11 a.m., two hours after my Good Greek start time, when the movers were irritated because I was wasting their time and my super was attempting to get us out, informed me that he would have to cancel my move. . I was furious and had to pay even more money! They didn't contact me back for two days after the relocation. It had been a nightmare, extremely stressful. Call another firm if you see a little white vehicle with Good Greek on the side. You will not be sorry if you call someone else who will not break your wedding plates and wine glasses and only get paid $0.60 per pound of a broken item.
Bad Company
They will NOT transfer your belongings; instead, they will sell your move to another low-rated business, raising your moving prices. Do you find all of the recent favorable reviews strange? Please study the DOT# of the firm before you decide to employ them (it should match the name, be approved for, and transport personal belongings), and make sure they can come to your home and offer you an exact price. This time, the bottom of their website reads, "Please note that Good Greek Moving and Storage is a duly licensed interstate broker, and is not a carrier and will not carry an individual shipper's household items."
Never ever again
So far, it's been a nightmare. My container is three weeks late, and no matter who you contact, you'll get the same canned response: "we don't know when your container will be transported, but you'll receive an email when it does." It's not worth the hassle to save a few dollars. Choose the more costly firms. Before registering with good Greek Moving and Storage, I saw some negative reviews and said to myself, "Nah, it won't happen to me." I was sorely mistaken.
Thieves
Like everyone else, customer service is kind and provides you one price before coming to pack your belongings, at which point the price doubles. I experienced a delivery issue where they kept attempting to come to the vehicle earlier than the contractually agreed upon date. The date on the contract indicates when I became the official new owner of the house. What was I expected to do if I didn't receive access right away? What's the point of a contract if they don't follow it? This is in addition to them double the advertised amount!!

You can save yourself the hassle.
Please, please, please do not employ these individuals. The reviews are completely accurate!! They charge you something that is not on the contract, customer service is terrible (I had to call three times to reach someone), I broke my sofa legs and had to submit a claim, and all of the boxes were broken. Moving is hard enough without having to worry about your belongings being damaged and dealing with all of the issues that this location offers. When you initially phone to make a reservation, the employees are kind and helpful, but after the deposit is received, you're stuck and everything changes. Please, people, these evaluations are not false; spare yourself the effort and go for a reliable firm.
from Houston to Dallas
Awful company.
For almost a year, there was no way to contact Customer service after they took our items. We had to call and leave a message, and then he texted or called back. For the past five months, they have double-billed two separate credit cards. The corporate phone center informed me that my box had been transported to Houston rather than Dallas-Fort Worth, as I had asked. shell number informed me that they no longer serviced and had no idea where my belongings were. The Houston location informed me that it was in Dallas. (The Houston person was pleasant.) Drivers are nice, kind, and skilled at their jobs. We had to contact our credit card companies to dispute charges after 5 phone calls and being on hold for 20 - 45 minutes on each call because the 'customer service' line does not transfer you to the accounting department. It was a nightmare of a storage and relocation process.
DON'T DO IT

It's just bad.
It was a dreadful experience. If you have two deliveries, there is a $300 re-delivery fee that they never notify you about until a few days before your pod is meant to be delivered. Customer service is absolutely unhelpful and refuses or is unable to compensate you for these difficulties and miscommunications. If they break an item, as they did with my television, it takes 60 to 90 days to get a refund. They say a manager will call you back, but regardless of the schedule they give you, you will be waiting days for that call. I will never use this service again because it is disorganized and inefficient.
