Just a great company. My sales person was very knowledgeable and walked me through and explained the entire process. When my move day came it happened exactly the way they said it would. They took apart some furniture, wrapped everything, and they were surprisingly fast at wrapping and loading. Everything arrived at my new home in the exact same condition as it left. My experience was great! The estimator that I spoke with on the phone was very professional and explained everything to me. The movers were on time and did a fantastic job. If you need to move long distance call these guys!!

Better than Expected

I am a single father with 3 kids and it is very stressful looking for a moving company. I spoke with Austin from this company and he explained everything from start to finish how the move is going to be, that made me very comfortable with choosing this company. I have to say they did a great job with setting me up with the moving company. The moving company came a few hours late, that’s understandable, packing went well and over all a 5 star experience.

Honestly I am not sure where to start with this but I had a great experience with my move. Austin contacted me and walked me through everything from a-z, wasn't pushy at all just did his job. I can tell you guys reading this, they did their job! From setting me up with a quote to getting a company to come and pick me up I couldn't be any more happier. Great Job

Highly recommended! Austin was great in helping us through this process. I have moved many times in the past and this is by far the best service I have gotten. Austin answered everything phone call and text I sent him when ever I had any questions regarding the move. The moving company that came to my house was very kind and handled my items with care. Horrible experience

Never received my belongings. They don’t do a good job with who they choose to pick up your items they chose an F rated company that has disappeared with all of our belongings. Couldn’t get ahold of broker or the foreman for my move over the past 5 weeks. Now we have to get law enforcement and lawyers involved please stay away!

Run for the Hills!

Do not trust this company or Thomas Downs. The company is a broker and once you pay your $500 deposit, Thomas flips a switch and could care less about you or your move. He will go from nice and professional to petty and useless. For starters, he grossly underestimated the cost of the move. When I asked for an estimate, he repeatedly told me that I didn’t have enough stuff to move and said I could add things without the price changing since I didn’t meet the minimum amount anyway. So I did, at his suggestion. Listening to him was a big mistake. The movers tacked on a ton of extra fees and the move wound up costing 50% more than Thomas estimated. I have moved a dozen times in my life and this is the first time an estimate I was quoted ever changed. The difference in the moves? Using this company as a broker. When I called and told him I wasn’t informed about extra fees, he said he didn’t have time to go over every “minuscule detail” with every customer and “we partake in nothing a carrier charges”. Think about that. He admits he doesn’t go over everything because he can’t be bothered. And once he has your deposit, you’re pretty much on your own because it’s up to the carrier what you will be charged. He also bragged about how he runs a multi million dollar business (not particularly well, if you ask me), and accused me of trying to sneak things on the truck. *insert eye roll here* This is who you will be dealing with if you have any issues with your move. So proceed at your own risk with him. Or better yet, don’t use this company at all.

Very dishonest and unethical business - Beware !

Worst moving experience I ever had. They said yes to everything when they tried to get my deposit, but do not honor agreement when it counts. Our agreement clearly stated ' Customer will get a 100% refund of deposit if customer decides to cancel the move with Five Star Moving Company, up to 7 DAY BEFORE THE MOVING DAY.' 2 weeks before I move I cancelled my booking due to their extremely high rates comparing to competitors and not able to give me an exact pick up day, and I was refused my $600 deposit refund. They talked down on competitors, even took out the link to our agreement right after they refused my refund. Fortunately I have records. Beware consumer. This is a very unethical company. Beware !! Incredibly Dishonest and Unreliable

My son and daughter in law booked their move through this company, which presented itself as “movers” and not as a broker (which they would never have used). They were directly dishonest when asked if they were the “Five Star Moving Company” in Los Angeles, and said they were. Only the day before the move did we learn that in fact another company were moving them. The day before the move Five Star doubled the price and the day of the move, the movers failed to show up at the time and place 5 Star had promised and failed to bring necessary equipment to move a very valuable grand piano which Five Star had GUARANTEED (on several occasions) would be here. We’d hired piano movers to take the piano down treacherous stairs with the plan (made with Five Star) that the piano would then be put on the truck of Five Star’s movers with the other belongings. But with no truck and, when it did show, no equipment, we were forced to pay extra to have the piano stored by the piano company. On the day of the move, when all of these things they’d promised did not come through - Truck did not show up on time, did not go to correct address, and failed to bring necessary equipment to move the piano - Five Star did not answer their phone. Having never explained that they were just “brokers” we had no opportunity to review the actual movers, who we would never have chosen for our move. I had given Five Star a deposit for a move that I had planned over a month later. I cancelled the move with them and have requested a return of my deposit. They have failed to respond to my written requests in any way as well as to the complaint filed with the BBB.
