Awful
Terrible explains how bad this company is. We had three movers arrive who were late, inept and moved at such a sluggish pace that it was unpleasant to watch. Everything was fully packaged and disassembled to make the transfer as simple as possible for them, yet it still took them the entire day (to move a few boxes and a few desks). Not to add that they never wrapped anything, and they damaged and destroyed many items of furniture, Terrible explains how bad this company is. Terrible moving exerience.
Cheats and Fraud are two adjectives that define this moving business. Everything they said was a lie. I gave my daughter a formal contract, then increased the fee once the furniture was placed onto their truck on the day of the move. After several phone calls, the furniture was delivered three days later, but the boxes were damp, the furniture was broken, and items were taken.
Liars!
We chose Cardinal since they appeared reputable when we spoke with them on the phone. We were made to believe that they would relocate us to New Jersey. Not true...they are a broker who charges thousands of dollars to make a few phone calls to the legitimate carrier who will complete the work. Nothing that was promised over the phone came to pass. You are on your own once they have received your money, which is basically a broker cost. When the carrier arrives to transfer your stuff, whatever agreement you sign and any payment proposed will be worthless.
Dissatisfied
Because they are a broker, they distribute their jobs to a few moving firms. Not only did our pricing increase by $2800 from what we were promised, but the business hired did not provide a large enough truck, forcing us to rent an Uhaul, load it ourselves, and push it down. Cardinal engaged Map Moving, so they posted on Google for movers to assist them. I would avoid doing business with this firm. They do not keep their word.
Do not use them
I called the company a week before my relocation to check the amount needed at pickup. Only then did they tell me that there was a "50/50 prospect" that they would pick up on the weekend my contract is due to expire. Cardinal Van Lines then tried to convince me that moving from St. Louis to Chicago is a "unique route" for which they do not have movers. The salesperson lied to me, and I'm now anxious to get my deposit returned.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY
With a list provided to the firm, I was given a quotation over the phone. I was charged double what the initial estimate was, and they said there was nothing they could do and that I would lose my $1100 payment. Least bad in terms of customer service; since contacting out numerous times, I have not heard a single word. The movers ended up missing some components of my headboard for my bed, and I phoned several times to inquire whether they had left it in the truck, and there was no reply. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THAT YOU USE THIS COMPANY.
Bad experience
This has to be the worst moving experience I've ever had! They deceive by lying through their teeth. They offer you a quote, then dramatically increase it when it's too late for you to do anything about it! My inventory list was much reduced from the previous quotation, yet my price jumped to over $2000. On delivery day, much of my belongings were irreparably destroyed! I'm going to sue them! They should not be used. They are fraudsters!
I really do not recomended them
I was initially informed that they would come on Tuesday. On Thursday, they arrived. They also charged me considerably more even though I had precisely what was on my inventory list. They also stated that they do not take credit cards and advised me to use Zelle. It was unusual to Zelle that a "reputable" firm would do such a thing. More issues emerged when I attempted to determine when my belongings would be delivered. I chose this firm because I was assured that my things will arrive in 5-7 job days from the date I picked them up. When I phoned later, I was informed it would take 7-14 business days from the time I picked it up. They also have no clue where my possessions are. They keep claiming "a safe warehouse," yet it appears that they just do not know. I feel duped and duped into giving them my business.
from Albany to New Rochelle
It was a local move
This was supposed to take 2-4 days, but it's now going to take 9-10 for a 600-mile journey. When questioned, the service was poor and unpleasant. Also, for a few extra boxes and parts, up the price by $800. Untrustworthy business. Not to be used
Moving Service
This is a moving broker, not a moving service. They should have informed us. They then employ moving firms with poor evaluations to perform the actual relocating, so after they get their share, they are no longer as helpful, and when they do eventually respond, they blame the other business, despite the fact that they were the ones who made all the promises.
