DO NOT WORK WITH THIS COMPANY. It's a total sham. To begin, their representative informed us that our package will arrive in a week. For nearly a month, we had not received our household goods. Employees from customer service and dispatch would inform me that the shipment was en route, then turn around and tell me that the truck had broken down or was in the shop. This excuse was really used three times. They would phone and tell me that my shipment was ready to be delivered, then nothing would happen for two or three days. I didn't receive my shipment until I threatened legal action. All of our furniture was completely damaged once it arrived. All of our belongings, including thousands of dollars in jewelry, watches, rings, and other stuff, were stolen. Furniture pieces that contained valuables that we had already packed for shipment were undone, plundered, taken, and re-taped. At this time, the company will not provide me with the carrier information. They claim to be "investigating" the matter, which they are not. They are con artists who have operated under several company names over the years. I would not suggest this company or anyone who works for them to my worst enemy.
Massive Error.
This company should not be used. I was quoted $2,000 less than the moving company's receipt. I was also told that my stuff would be delivered within 5-7 days of pick-up. It's been 5 days, and I was just told, "Perhaps you'll get the products in 5-10 days." This business is a nightmare.

My move it was terrible
They started out quite well, responding to inquiries swiftly and efficiently and being generally helpful. This, however, changed very fast. After three days of no communication from them, they called on the last day of our pickup window and told us that they couldn't make our pick up date and would have to reschedule. We had previously informed them that we would be leaving the day following our pick-up date to attend a funeral, and this information appeared to have gone unnoticed by the firm. They weren't supposed to come for another 5 days. It would have saved us a lot of stress and time if they had alerted us about the situation several days in advance. We also misjudged the amount of belongings we had for the relocation; our sales agent promised us that they would reduce the pricing for any space we didn't need. Every time we've tried to bring up the adjustment after pick-up with them, they've evaded the question or put it off until we'd forgotten about it. It's been 18 days and our belongings have still not come, despite their assurance that they would arrive within two weeks.
DO NOT WORK WITH THIS COMPANY!
We booked with this firm because I had seen positive reviews, which I now suspect were written by THEM. When they said they didn't accept credit cards, I should have known better. They start with a low bid ($4800), then raise it somewhat a week before the move, and then more than double it on the day of the move—$9000! I gave them EXACT measurements for all of the furniture, and they should have been able to perform the math and give me a more accurate estimate the week prior. Even though we moved LESS than I had informed them, the cost was still double. By that point, whether it's a holiday week, the conclusion of the school year, or the end of the month, there are no other options, and the deposit is non-refundable. The movers worked hard and did a wonderful job, although three items were damaged. The movers were supposed to deliver certain furniture to a different place and put up beds and mirrors—ALL OF THIS WAS NOT DONE! There is no way to contact customer service, thus there is no possibility of reimbursement. This is a total and blatant hoax, and I hope to prevent others from making the same mistake.
Don't put your faith in them.
To begin, consider: I looked up moving companies on the internet and they came up. I contacted them thinking they were the actual moving company, but they are only brokers, which is fine with me. I first spoke with someone whose name I don't recall, and he gave me an estimate based on the number of boxes and furniture I was moving. The estimate was reasonable. He said someone would call me a few days before the move to do a "quality control" call. This so-called "quality control" call was actually an attempt to extort more money from me. This guy named Frederick called me and pushed me to buy more space so that all of my belongings could fit in the truck. He even began using technical phrases, such as bill of lading or whatever, in an attempt to terrify me and further confuse me. I informed him nothing had changed, and he continued to push me, in an unprofessional manner, to buy more space and demanded for $300 more. Because I informed him I wasn't going to do it, he continued telling me I'd end up paying more at the time of pickup, which would be too late. I informed him I was going to phone, with whom I had spoken before and who had written me prior to the original quote. When I phoned, the same guy answered the phone and stated to his boss and that there was nothing he could do about the initial quotation and that I would have to pay more. I did nothing but wait for the pick-up time. I didn't have to pay anything extra when the other people came to take up my belongings. So, if you can do the relocating yourself, go ahead and do it. I realize it's a lot of effort, but you don't have to put up with all of this nonsense from folks like these. Plus, there will be a few unexpected surprises along the way until your items are delivered. The entire ordeal was quite awful. So, BEWARE OF THESE PEOPLE.
Beaware
We negotiated and planned to relocate to a different state which required a 50% electronic bank deposit. Then we were told that the furniture would take 7 to 10 days to arrive. We moved the date up a week so that we could be in the state in time for the arrival. When our furniture was picked up, we were told it would cost an extra $1500, despite the fact that there had been no changes from the estimate. Our copies were unreadable. When we called about the missed delivery date, we were told it could be up to another 21 days based on the illegible copies we received from a different company!! We were told that they only take calls on Tuesdays and Thursdays, but no one answers the phone or returns calls. We've also been disconnected when someone answers the phone. Please keep in mind that it is now and there are no belongings or furniture. Our jobs have been disrupted, we are divided across states, and no one is responding.
Worst experience ever
My recommendation is to stay away from this firm. When I arrived, the supervisor threatened me with considerably more money than I had promised to pay for thorough/secure packing. This was a move that I had planned for weeks in advance, and I felt forced into a hole, having to spend thousands extra on top of an already exorbitant moving estimate. It was a complete shambles, and we eventually decided not to forward with the relocation. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND MOVE ON TO THE NEXT COMPANY. They will look professional to work with until the move day is shakedown.
Atrocious service
I can't begin to tell you how disgusted I am with my experience with your moving company trans word vanlines. When I called, I received an estimate with each item detailed, and when the people arrived at my property, they said the price was incorrect and gave us a totally different price with a very bad attitude and said he was going to call the company to refund the deposit, and they had the abuse of taking a video to my garage with my family inside and they left.
There are no stars!
I just don't know where to begin in describing how horrible, criminal, rude, and unprofessional this firm is. They offer you a quotation, collect your deposit, and then treble the quote when they show up. They did not take our automobile as planned. They picked up our belongings on August 5th, and we still don't have them as of September 13th. Nobody has called me back, and there have been no updates. It is irresponsible for moving.com to list this firm on their website. If you are having trouble with this firm as well, here are all of the phone numbers I need to contact. Don't expect anybody to respond or call you back, but they are there.
