Awful experience
They promise to provide you a high quote and to assure that there will be no additional costs. They say it's going to be more expensive as soon as they walk in the door. They won't tell you how much more they want; they just want you to follow them until they have all of your belongings and you have to pay whatever they want. They arrived without moving blankets and want to charge extra for them, despite the fact that the contract states that they are included. They are extremely unprofessional and impolite. They scratched our wood floors, dented our walls, and scuffed our furniture. When we complained, they threatened us. I'd give them no stars!
My moving experience
We were lucky enough to come across American Standard Moving. They were quite professional, and they were able to get me the best quote out of everyone else. We picked the best company for the job because we had a difficult move. They followed up with me thereafter to ensure that everything had gone well. Thank you so much!
Terrible service
Once I contracted for this moving, I was verbally promised delivery from Windsor CA to Portland OR within 5-7 business days, but nothing in the contract I E-signed suggested delivery time. The driver said 7-10 business days as the truck was being loaded. I never saw or signed anything in writing until their truck was loaded with all my stuff. At this time, I saw in fine print on the back of the Interstate Bill of Lading contract that it would take 30 business days. This is the 11th day of a 600-mile ride. I'm almost eighty, sleeping on a borrowed air mattress, and running out of the two weeks of prescription medications that I packed to be on the safe side. At this point, they have 75% of what I owe them when they contract their services in good faith. I was told another 5-7 business days when I spoke to the dispatch this morning. Hire someone else.
My lastest move
Thank god we've found the American Standard Going. Fully professional and they've got me by far the lowest price out of all competition. I've had a really complicated transfer, and they've found the right company for a job. They followed me up to make sure everything went smoothly. Jason, if you read this, thank you very much for your professionalism.
