industry's fraud
Please be cautious and avoid doing business with this firm! They are a con. They will feed you a slew of lies before taking your money and fleeing. We are a military family who engaged this company to handle our relocation. They gave us a lot of quotes and pretended to be a moving company, even acting as if they were on the phone with their dispatch. We then discovered that they were merely a brokerage firm. They gave us a quote and then hired the shadiest company they could find. They sent criminals to our house who didn't even have a driver's license since they couldn't enter the military base. 24-7 Logistic, the firm they hired, tried to charge us an additional $11,000 when we were only supposed to pay $3000. We had to rent a vehicle and drive across the nation by ourselves. Now, a month later, despite the fact that 24-7 Logistic breached their contract, they refuse to refund us! Please avoid doing business with this company.
I would give negative stars if I could
24/7 Logistic Services is the worst moving business I've ever used. I spoke with Edward Elia at first, who told me that he would be my main point of contact in the transfer, but as soon as I signed the paperwork, he became unreachable. I then had to negotiate with Elizabeth, who was at best unhelpful and at worst downright rude, ordering me to "calm down" at one point. when I asked if we should expect any moving complications as a result of the pandemic situation (April 2020). Because of their bad packing, they destroyed too many of our things. Wine glasses were stacked at the bottom of boxes of plates (no wonder they broke), my record player was totally ruined by not being wrapped at all, and my guitar was thrown into a box without its case. Besides that, after doing a video walkthrough with Edward, they failed to correctly quote me, resulting in the price increasing by $2k after they had packed our stuff. I could go on about the inconsistencies and how much of a pain these movers were. I would strongly advise you to use a different business instead of this one.
Don`t hire this company
DO NOT WORK WITH THIS Business. My grandmother signed a contract with them indicating that the earliest delivery date was the 9th and the latest delivery date was the 11th. We've arrived in Michigan from California, and it's the 14th of July, and there's still nothing! We expected them to arrive on the 9th, the day we arrived. We're in a house with an air mattress, two elderly people, four dogs, and two cats, hoping to hear from someone who knows where my grandmother's things are and when they'll arrive. This has been my worst experience with a moving business, and I will do everything in my power to ensure that no one else has to go through it with them again. They've been ignoring our calls for three days. We plan to file charges as soon as possible. They take your money easily, but they don't answer the phone once they have it. WHAT HAPPENED TO MY GRANDMOTHER'S THINGS?!?!? ALSO, IF YOU RESPOND TO THIS BAD REVIEW IN THE SAME MANNER IN WHICH YOU REPLY TO OTHERS, SNARKY, SARCASTIC, RUDE, INCONSIDERATE, UNSENSATIVE, AND GROTESQUELY, YOU WILL LOSE BUSINESS BECAUSE NO ONE WANT TO USE A MOVING COMPANY THAT SPEAKS TO THEIR CUSTOMERS LIKE THAT. YOU GUYS ARE STUPID AND WILL NOT BE ABLE TO GET AWAY WITH THIS :)
Overpriced and late
I got many quotes for moving my son's belongings from California to Texas after calling around. Jason was really sweet and gave me a quote of 3,000. Okay, I said it wasn't the lowest or best. When they arrived to pick up, the price had risen from 3K to 4K; it was a little late because most of the products were on the truck; I was angry but went ahead with it. They were expected to deliver by January 10, and I got a call about the weather, truck, and so on. It's now Friday, and I get a call saying we'll be there at 11 a.m. (this was at 8 a.m.). I say okay, and they call again at 8 p.m. to say we'll be there at midnight. WHO DOES THAT...NOO They arrived at 6 a.m., which was absurd. Overpriced, and when I called Customer Service for a resolution or credit, there was no response. DO NOT HIRE!
Awful service, horrible company
I suppose the one star is for recalling my name. I don't have anything to say because I can't sit here and try to write volumes about the significant harm done. They assisted me in relocating from California to Georgia. There were so many secret fees; I was expected to pay $3500 but ended up paying $4500+. They damaged 5 of my high-value things (there are several more that I can't list) and lost my huge music bag, which included my keyboard, microphones, wires, adaptors, and cords. The total cost of the damages and loss is no less than $2,000. My package arrived about three days late. They say I only have liability insurance but fail to take responsibility for packaging my goods and delivering them to me safely and without injury or loss. Terrible company!
Beware Buyer !!
A LOT of damage! What wasn't shipped (tools, linens, etc.) was either broken (mirrors they packed), scratched (all of our furnishings), or damaged (busted a king-size bed headboard that ended up in the dumpster). L A Z Y delivery men. Hardwood floors that have been scuffed. I was told to get a marker and it would look brand new. Elizabeth is the worst customer service representative we have ever met in our lives. (And we're getting on in years.) Power washer mysteriously reappeared after suggesting sticky fingers, was obviously misused/abused, and then stopped working. Gentlemen Good on the front end (despite the fact that they began loading at 11:30 p.m.), but LOTS of LOSS! Loaded into a single truck, paid for a committed truck, and delivered directly. BUT THEN SAID WE NEEDED TWO TRAILERS. The ONE truck was unloaded into a warehouse in Maryland, and then a week or so later, they loaded our belongings into two trucks to move to Florida. A LOT happened during that maneuver. Simply BEWARE! Keep your distance. We relocated from Wilmington, DE to Ormond Beach, FL on September 1, 2018. Everything was fine from the initial contact until the packed truck left our location. They really dropped the ball after that.
Missing items
Our belongings and memories were valued at several thousand dollars by the company. They came to pick up our four-bedroom house in New York. When our closing date was pushed back, they said they would store our belongings for free. We closed after just a few days and requested our belongings. They mentioned that we would have to wait until their schedule was available ( and another family was ready). They moved our belongings to South Carolina a few days later. Our belongings were loaded into a truck alongside another family! They removed the truck so quickly that it filled a two-car garage and then drove away. No one could have checked off their items when they left the truck!! We found some boxes and a suitcase missing as the days and weeks passed. Mikasa China's entire collection, A kitchen object box containing Cutco knives, A green suitcase full of personal possessions, a brand new vacuum still in the package, and all of our wine and liquor!! The company apologized, saying that this happens and stickers fall off. Of course, our point was dismissed. It's not rocket science; either the drivers took our belongings or the family who shared our truck did! The invoice was messy and difficult to read, and the stickers were a complete disaster!
Poor service
The packing was good, but only two people arrived at the destination versus three at the origin - they were unable to accommodate the heavy things and caused serious damage to the hardwood floor (estimate of $600 to fix) and refused to honor my demand for repair. Other ceiling damage caused by heavy items was claimed but denied. Due to the confusion of the transfer, the damage was not noticed until the morning after they left, which was the reason for the refusal - I intend to use this corporation. They also quote you a much lower price before the transfer is underway, then dramatically increase your rate - I Will NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN!
Long distance move
I'll be writing another review. I doubt it will be published, as the previous one was not. If you plan to use this business, simply save time by burning your belongings; it will be less frustrating. They ruined our $10,000.00 bedroom suite, which is now irreparable. They shattered the armoire's crown molding. They had misplaced the headboard. There was nothing that wasn't harmed in any way. You're agreeing to settle for 60 cents a pound if you don't read the fine print. They bid $143.00 for the destruction of our furniture. I'm not sure how this organization stays in operation.
Stay away of this company
From start to finish, it was a terrible experience. Despite the salesman's assurances that this was an overestimation, they quoted me $500 more than the quote on the day of the transfer, after I had already paid them a deposit. It took 11 days for my goods to be delivered, and they missed four items worth over $1000. They also sent us some random things that were not ours, demonstrating that they are unable to keep track of your stuff. They failed in every way imaginable. Pay for a decent service or do it yourself.
