Scammers!

They collected my money and never called me; on the day of my arranged pick-up, they were a no-show; no responses from the "point of contact," and when I eventually got through to customer service, they stated, "Oh yeah, it was cancelled." They made no attempt to call me or notify me, and despite multiple emails, they have not returned my $700 deposit. I just called my credit card company to file a complaint. This seems to be a huge SCAM!

This firm is completely bogus in my opinion.

By far the worst experience. To cut a long tale short, their communication was abysmal, their quotation was deceptive, and the trucking firm was a total sham. My tools were taken, stuff was smashed, and I still have belongings in another state that I will have to discover and get for myself. My storage unit was packed in an unbelievable manner. $4100 for total stress and turmoil DO NOT BELIEVE THESE PEOPLE. It was a waste of my time and money. Their customer service is a shambles, and they have refused to compensate me for anything, despite broken things, stolen items, and travel charges for me to go recover the remainder of my belongings. This encounter has left me speechless.

I would never hire them again

These guys first showed up at the incorrect spot. Then it took them twice as long as it should have to load our truck from the storage place. They didn't pay attention when I told them to save the boxes for last, thus some of my large stuff was left behind. They took so long because they seldom ever used the hand trucks. I had two, and they only had one. Almost everything was transported and loaded by hand! Despite the fact that the majority of my furniture was meticulously wrapped in cushioning and clear plastic. It took them 3 hours to load a 26-foot truck! Then I had to wait for another 30 to 45 minutes since they had forgotten to deliver the documentation! I wasn't happy about having to wait for paperwork with a 13-hour journey ahead of me.

I hired a dishonest firm

DO NOT WORK WITH THIS COMPANY! Reading the other bad reviews below makes me ill since I could easily say "Ditto." I had the same nightmare. Seeing the corporation reply with excuses and additional falsehoods confirms to me that I am dealing with the correct organization, despite their assertions to the contrary. As soon as they get your money, they will steal from you, lie to you, and shut off all connections. I relocated from California to Michigan. I chatted with Chris when collecting bids since he seemed so nice, helpful, and concerned about my relocation at first. He's merely a slick, skilled, compulsive liar, it turns out. I didn't understand it at the time, but everything he told me was a lie. The only thing he didn't lie about was how to put my deposit into their account.  Of course, you don't realize it until it's too late and you're completely helpless: they've already taken your money – far more than the original quote – and because they have control over all of your belongings, you have no choice but to pay whatever costs they generate to rip you off or you won't get your things back. Lied on everything, but most significantly, 1) He stressed on several occasions that you should NEVER choose a moving company that subcontracts your move to a third party. He even gave me a "nice lecture" on why this should never be done and how to avoid it. Several times throughout our many talks, he stated that the U.S. Standard Moving & Storage Corp "be with me all the way," "be in possession of my belongings from my door in CA to my door in MI," and so on. Lies. They did, in fact, engage a third company, which I was not even aware of until the movers arrived and identified themselves as B&B Transportation. (I'm also reporting this firm.) B&B, in turn, lied about the number of items they picked up, raising the cost of my original quotation by more than $1,600. Of course, they only delivered the number of goods I was quoted - no surprise there - and I am still dealing with this nightmare to this day. Because of the U.S. Standard Moving & Storage Corp deliberately hired a dishonest firm, they clearly collaborate to steal your money and should be held accountable. We had several discussions concerning my move date. I constantly informed him that I needed to be absolutely certain that they'd be there on September 2nd since I needed to purchase my plane ticket to Michigan. He promised me four times that they will be there on the second. When it became obvious that they would not be arriving on the 2nd, I phoned him but got Isaac. I explained the problem, and he insisted on providing an "alternative pickup date." I constantly informed him that had never discussed this option to me, that I was already planned to fly away that evening based on it, and that I was wondering what might be done. He said "nothing," but that I could figure it out. “So you expect me to find out a solution to a problem that you created?” I eventually said, and he replied, “Exactly!” That, indeed, was his reaction. There was no apology, no attempt to assist, nothing. Since I had already left town, I had a buddy come to supervise the movers. I was literally seconds after my flight landed when I received a phone from someone I didn't know, asking when I'd be available to meet them at my house so they could pack and move my belongings. I was really perplexed since I STILL didn't realize it wasn't the U.S. Standard Moving & Storage Corp It wasn't until I started getting texts from my friend indicating that the moving business had requested her to sign the inventory sheets before they were filled out, and I noticed the name of another firm on these forms that I recognized what was going on. At the moment, they requested a check that, when coupled with my first contribution, already exceeded the TOTAL estimate He had provided me. I simply received a notice stating that the relocation had been completed and that I should contact customer support. There is no such thing as customer service. Is it even legal to do this? I immediately tried to contact them but I never heard back from him. I called many more times; a few times I got Tom, a few times I got Joshua - all I got from them was nastiness, contempt, and more promises to help. More falsehoods - they never followed up or attempted to figure out what was going on or assist me in getting my money back. lied about minor details as well. For example, when I questioned about moving liquids – I particularly named Shout, Pine-Sol, dish soap, and so on – he told me that they were all acceptable unless they were combustible. Another deception. I had to get rid of around $250 worth of cleaning supplies, which I didn't realize I'd have to do until the movers told me they couldn't carry them. I would have found out something else if He had been honest about it. More deception.

My move

The U.S. Standard Moving & Storage Corp wanted to ensure that I was good with the service, that I was not rushed, and that the inventory was correct. It was wonderful for moving day. I was not charged any more fees as a result of their work practices. I couldn't afford anything more than what we agreed upon, and I wasn't charged a single dime more.

Extremely impolite and disrespectful.

My interaction with this man did not even extend beyond a phone call. When I called to seek an estimate on a request, he aggressively told me to quit rambling around and tell him what I needed after 5 seconds of my starting to talk. I will NEVER CALL THIS MAN AGAIN, and based on the reports, it appears that we escaped with our lives when he turned down our request!!!

Terrible communication

After agreeing to a quote for my move, the day of the pick up another company showed up with another contract, and of course a higher price. At this point, and with all my things packed in boxes I could not refuse, and I paid them. Only after this, they told me that the delivery of my things could take more than 15 days. They never informed me that it could take so long!
