Terrible movers
The truck was scheduled to arrive on Thursday. On Tuesday, they informed that the date changed to Monday. I have to get out of the house by Sunday. Don't hire them because they will change the dates with 48 hours' notice. Definitely, they don't care about contracts or clients.
Scammers!!
For my relocation from New York to Florida, I rented an Upack truck. It took 6 days for the truck to appear. Numerous boxes were open, many goods were damaged, lamps, mirrors, furniture were destroyed, and my ring and other jewelry were stolen. My jewelry was in a bag, which I had put in the bottom of a box in the middle of the truck. How could they have seen it? That is possible using metal detectors or x-ray devices. They knew exactly where they had to go. I'm disappointed I used Upack and will never use them again. When you need to relocate, use a reliable business. What you pay for is what you get. Upack did not answer my claim.
A whole disaster
I'm still waiting for my package to be unpacked. I was extremely clear about the particular date I needed to arrive and made additional arrangements and paid extra money to assure a date. This was the only reason I chose this firm. What a disaster. There was no call, and there was no show. I wasted a day, had no notification, and generated various downstream costs that they refuse to compensate. Buyers should take caution. This firm has NO Credibility OR Responsibility. Stay away!!
Zero stars
I'd give zero stars if I could. This was the worst service I've ever had, and I'll never use this business again. Although they told me it would take 2-4 days, it took 7 days to get my stuff. They are arrogant and lacking in empathy. If I had to choose between Pods and them, I would go with Pods. Worst moving company I've ever used!
Irresponsible company
In early September, UPack confirmed our booking for a November transfer. They then canceled our trailer and left a message one week before our relocation. Their justification was that they couldn't rent a trailer since so many people were leaving California. Was this a surprise to you? Are you not in the industry? How could you have missed it? They offered us no further alternatives or recommendations for how to proceed. We were dropped. If you didn't want the business in the first place, don't accept it. Please notify us if there is a chance of a trailer shortage. Poor customer service, no honesty, no assistance in identifying solutions, and no monetary offer to assist us in offsetting the difficulty that they generated. It's a bad business.
Awful
I received a call in the middle of my initially scheduled drop-off time to be advised that the drop-off would take place 4-6 hours later than planned. What's the reason? Another person booked AFTER me and was in my zone, thus I'm being bumped back to drop off for the other client. This is absurd; I will never use this business again and will criticize them at every possible chance. Thank you for absolutely messing up my relocation itinerary and forcing me to reschedule my move date.
The worst choice
This is the first and last time I'll be using Upack! It was a terrible experience. I paid about $1,500 for a two to four day shipping and it's now day ten and I still haven't received my items. Never, ever again!!!!! There was no offer of a discount or anything, just an "I'm sorry."
Terrible moving service
I hired upack to transport my belongings from Minnesota to Texas. Worst experience ever. During transport, half of my stuff was destroyed. When I contacted Upack, they said I could only claim the damages if the vehicle caught fire or was in an accident. Be careful of these con artists.
Great service
Just retired and took the time to move to another home. You tried 3 cubes for a start. Two months later, did the trailer. I like the cube better because it was easy to load on the ground. But with some help, the trailer is also a good option when you've got more. It's a good move value. Better than competition in terms of weight limits and weather protection. And the price is comparable.
Bad service
I used two pods to help my mom move from CA to TX at a cost of over $3,100. The pods were longer than expected. The pods were booked to arrive 8 a.m. to noon on a specific day, and arrived late. One of the pods had arrived with a broken lock and could not be opened. UPack was not helpful, nor was ABF their freight carrier. I had to go out on my own and buy the bolt cutters and break in to get my items. It took another day to do that. On a move of over $3,100, they offered to pay for the bolt cutters and give me $20 for my time (that's a.64 percent discount). What a complete waste of a service it was.
