Fraudulent estimated
This firm and their "mobsters" quoted a "binding" not-to-exceed price, which we held them to. On the day they arrive, this man walks in for a brief look and is throwing his arms in the air, as if to say, "Who quoted you this?" and "We can't possibly accept all of this for that price." They compelled us to go to the bank and obtain cash, as well as sign a new contract price that was quadruple the initial binding amount. I just wanted to see if there were any other reviews like mine. I am certain they do this on a regular basis and have individuals post false evaluations!
The worst choice
I chose them because of their fair pricing and positive feedback, but I was mistaken. Both transfers are subcontracted, and apart from being rude to my older parents and refusing to comply with inconveniences, the subcontractors did a decent job implementing the step itself. Susan from customer support can only take your call if there is money involved. The business itself is badly managed, with a seller who will not even link you with the subsequent point of contact until the sale is made, a miserable customer service representative who has replaced her presence with a voicemail, and company policy that is inconvenient and designed to make as much money off of you as possible. Reasonable if you can keep communication to the company to a minimum.
Terrible company
Using this moving business at your own risk!! They are scam artists. They overcharge and take your belongings hostage. My final estimate was $3,600, but after only a box spring, mattress, lamp, two side tables, a coffee table, and boxes were filled, the price increased to $5,826.75. I charged $4,078.72, and now they want $1898.00 more. My things wouldn't even fill a one-bedroom apartment.
Dishonest company
If you value your property and the right to expect reasonable and careful handling of your goods, do not use this company. This business falls Well Behind INDUSTRY Expectations. The serious damage to antique furniture and valuable household objects breaks my heart. The losses are huge. I still have things missing. I contacted Spartan Van Lines right away. They are not returning my calls. WARNING!! ... Pick a different company!! ZERO STARS
Move from PA to NY
Spartan Van Lines is ideal for long-distance relocations. They are competent, compassionate, and effective. They are perfect for long-distance relocations! I hired them about a month ago, and my transfer was fast and painless. The guys arrived early in the morning and completed the work. After unpacking, I discovered that there had been no damage at all. It was a smart choice to recruit them. I will hire them again and recommend them to others.
A+ service
The manager and his team were fantastic! They took their time packing and moving everything so that nothing was affected. The manager was highly responsible and treated our furniture as though it were his own. They were on time, polite, and extremely pleasant. I fully recommend them for your relocation!
Acceptable
I used Spartan about three weeks ago when my family and I relocated from Orlando to Atlanta. They were really easy to work with, and scheduling the dates was a breeze. Josh provided us with a quote based on what we told him we had, and he advised us that the price could change depending on what we actually had. It actually remained roughly the same. Aside from a tiny chip in a glass table, the transfer went really well, but it should have been there already. I'm not sure. Overall, the relocation went smoothly.
