Really recommended
We used Reebie/Allied to travel from Illinois to Arizona, and I was very nervous about the move based on all the horrible stories I've heard about interstate movements in general. From the salesman who came to send us an estimate of the real movers, the experience was fantastic! Our Juan Driver (and who also helped with moving) He was so attentive and supportive, he told me the day they arrived to move us that he was going to be the one driving to AZ, and he already knew an early date that we should expect from the furniture. The movers wrapped EVERYTHING so well, from wooden tables to buffets to art work sofas, everything was wrapped with care. Juan contacted me from the road and told me he was going to be there the day before he had anticipated. So, while we were told that we would get our belongings at any time between May 22 and May 27, we actually got our furniture on May 21. Not one item is damaged or missing. I can't tell enough about Reebie and Allied, wonderful work!
from Chicago to Des Plaines
Exceptional company
This company is a really competent moving service. The movers were fast and respectful. They treated my things with care, and they shipped it undamaged. They even transported things that I wanted to stay with. At least they've been thorough. I'd rather make them move unwanted stuff. Leave everything behind, then. Plus, the transfer was within the earlier estimate that was given to me.
Terrible customer service
Terribly dissatisfied with the way the long-distance movement of my son's household items was managed. They took the unholy word of a crew member and deliberately ambiguous documents about the fact that my son's saxophone had never been shipped, rejecting our claim! No high-value paperwork was provided or followed by this precious item, and with the aid of the fraudulent crew, It was "confused" with a split suitcase on the paperwork, and no one takes responsibility for this calamity of mistakes! It's not what they say on their website. Customer satisfaction is not relevant! They may be the "charter company" of the Allied, but they need a refreshing course to keep track of your valuables... and to do the right thing!
Caution!!
Be careful of this business. It was all fine before the actual move. First, they lowered the bid so that the final cost was 30% higher-this was after we sold some big heavy items before the transfer, which were included in the quote. I walked through the house with the dealer, and he said it all, and he said he'd have it all. The driver who delivered said their sales people were doing everything they could to win the market. Second, the movers were reckless and broke some products that were paying for packing—furnishings, lamps, glass frames. We were refunded for the lost objects, but some of them had sentimental value and could not be replaced. They say they don't use day workers, but I watched the driver pay them all in cash on both ends of the move. Get a few quotes and think twice about using Reebie.
