I was a victim of fraud
I booked a cross country move with Puma and requested a quote to move a 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom house and was quoted 950 cubic feet on their truck with a rate per cubic foot, subject to change based on actual space used. The major items were confirmed a few days prior to the move and I was assured that the quote was at least in the ballpark for space needed for my items. When moving day came, the driver surveyed my entire house, all items that were to be moved, boxes included. He told me prior to starting to load the truck that he estimated my items would require 1400 cubic feet of space on the truck, increasing my cost by approximately 50%. This was very disappointing, but I had to carry on because they knew I had to get out of my house that day. This was just the beginning. The crew began loading items on the truck and a few hours later they told me they had reached the estimated 1400 cubic feet of truck space, and if I wished to have the rest of my things loaded, I would have to sign a new estimate. At that point, the driver had not loaded a single bed, dresser, or any furniture from my daughter's bedroom. The driver at this point let me know that it would require the whole truck for the remainder of my items to fit, which totaled 1900 cubic feet. So after this "professional" mover surveyed my entire house and every item present, he was off by another 35% on space. When questioned on this, he stated "I'm not sure why they gave you that original quote, a 4 bedroom house is always the entire truck". When I asked him why he had told me only 60% of the entire truck earlier in the morning after seeing all the items to be loaded, he told me "I didn't want to scare you off at the beginning." Basically admitting to defrauding me and lying about the cost of the move. He knew I was in a vulnerable position and had to get out of my house that day, and he took advantage. At this point, I asked to talk to his supervisor and he refused to allow me to talk to anyone else, instead blaming me for misrepresenting the amount of items to be brought on the truck. I reached out to my original sales representative, Sarah, who was extremely nice leading up to this point. She also blamed me for the problem and took zero responsibility and offered no recourse. I then had no choice but to pay over double the originally quoted price for my move. To make things worse, at the end of the loading, the driver let me know they couldn't fit all my belongings on the truck, and he drove away without offering another way to get my items out of the house. He left my Peloton treadmill, Big Green Egg smoker, coffee table and approximately 30 boxes in the house/garage. This forced me to open a storage unit for the next year and store a lot of my items instead of having them moved with me, another added expense. I also had to scramble and move all these large items by myself in less than 24 hours without any help. From the attitude of the driver, sales people, and management on moving day, I truly believe they knew exactly what they were doing, and I would be shocked if I was the first person this had happened to. I hope no one else uses this company and avoids this nightmare of an experience that I had.
Zero would be more appropriate
Puma Van lines review I hired these people to move me & my family from Tx to OK and it was the worst experience I have ever had in 37 yrs of 9 other moves. I was quoted $4430 for the move. I requested someone come pre-inventory so we would know the correct truck size. But they didn't think necessary. When they were packing and loading the truck they brought, they determined it wasn't going to all fit. They had to get a second truck for an additional $3500. So I paid a portion by card and rest by cash and they took all out of my card. After opening boxes they packed, stuff broken, furniture broken. Marked on furniture nasty stuff in Hispanic language. I paid $7500.00 for a 150 mile, packing, loading, travel and unloading. Even after feeding them lunch on load day. My sons medication was stolen. All I asked of them was to return the $3500 but no have go through the damage claim crap. Just give me what is right. NO NO NO. They are terrible. I lost close to $4000.00 worth of furniture and lamps and things destroyed but the insurance paid me $140.00 to cover the damage they did. NEVER USE PUMA VAN LINES.
HORRIBLE COMPANY
If you value your items stay away from this company and if you hire them, make sure you get the max insurance protection. They moved my items from TX to VA and when it arrived on October 8, 2022, I had several items that were broken. Most of my items were already boxed so all they had to do was load their truck up and even that they could do not do properly. When they arrived in VA the movers placed several boxes upside down despite the boxes having words printed on them so they can see if a box was upside down. This caused several of my items to be broken. They then misplaced several large items and boxes in their warehouse in TX to include a 75-inch TV and a couch. When I asked them how they were going to compensate me if they didn’t find my items, they suggested I file a claim with my rental insurance company. I told them this was absurd, and I would not be doing that. It took them over a week to locate my items in their warehouse and then I had to wait a couple weeks to get my items because they did not have a truck going to the VA area. I finally got the rest of my items on November 05, 2022, just to come home and see they had once again placed boxes upside to include my 75-inch TV and 55-inch TV. I will assume this is also how they shipped both TVs and of course both TVs were damaged and no longer functioning. I filed a claim for all my broken items and due to their policy of not having packed the TVs (I bought TV boxes from Home Depot and carefully placed the TVs in the boxes) and other items they refused to cover those items. Once my claim was processed, they only offered to pay me $111 dollars WHAT A JOKE. If you need to move definitely take your business elsewhere and if you do hire this horrible company, take a really good inventory of your items and let them pack your items since this is the only way they will cover anything they break.
Liars and scammers
They will inform you that all of the negative feedback is from customers who were not accurate with their inventory. They'll double-check your merchandise before the big day. You'll voice your fears about getting overcharged on the day of (because of all the reviews), and they'll reassure you. However, on the day of your relocation, when you have no other alternatives and have already paid a deposit, they will practically treble your initial price.
Long distance move FL to TX
Disclosed fees, poor communication. I had problems moving things from AZ to TX I said then that I wouldn't use them when I had extremely poor communication and a "ESTIMATED QUOTE" that was about $1,500 off. TOTAL COST APPROX & 4200.00 When we moved my girlfriend's stuff from FL to TX, I was trying to look for another company, but my girlfriend wanted to give them another try. Big Mistake, I paid it all up front, they waived the 3% charge for using a credit card and gave us a $150.00 discount on the customer's return. But I owed another $865.00. Endured listening to the driver argues with my girlfriend that they're just going to pack up and leave as I was on the phone paying the extra $$. The driver missed 2 deadlines in Florida, faker to call us in Texas 1 hour prior to arrival (I called him for ETA) TOTAL COST APPROX $3900.00 If you are interested in a GOOD DEPENDABLE MOVING COMPANY KEEP LOOKING.

Local move
They're going to steal your things, and then they're going to damage or break what they don't steal, and they're going to refuse to return the boxes. When you send them an email, they will accuse you of being a different gender (yes I am serious, I have the email for proof). They're using the classic bait and switching the swindle, and worse. They quoted us over 2k and then, once our things was in their possession, they told us, "if you want to see it in less than 6 weeks you going to pay man!" that's a direct quote. They ended up charging us more than 6K.

Best crew ever
Despite problems with the availability of the elevator, because many people in the apartment used it as well, they were able to complete my move in no time. They were very helpful in organizing and arranging furniture according to my instructions, and they provided input when I was unsure. This is the second time I've been using Puma Van Lines, and I'd definitely recommend their service!
Really good experience
Cameron and his team were on time, very professional and super fast. My move was done in four hours, there was no damage to any of my furniture, no broken glassware!! They were friendly, helpful, and they made the stress I had from moving out of the window. Thank you! Most certainly recommend it to all my friends!
Smooth move
Tony and Chris from Puma Van Lines have been awesome. Professional, quick and enjoyable to be around. Having used a few moving companies in TX before, I can certainly say that they were far superior and well priced. If we ever move again, we're going to call these guys!
