Terrible Service, Staff and no Accountability for damages!
The Crew in California was actually quite good, professional and all in all did a fairly good job loading the truck and packing up our furniture. No complaint. They picked up our belongings on 4/12/24. When the truck arrived in Texas, well that is a whole different story. HORRIBLE service to say the least for 10K paid all in advance. Truck arrived in Austin on 4/21/24 at 1:30pm. The contract indicated that we would have 4 movers and we were sent only three. The 3 movers arrived at 1:30 pm and were gone by 4:30 pm. They DID NOT ASSEMBLE our furniture, that in Irvine was dismantled. They left most everything delivered to Texas in the garage or in the living room area. They were in a hurry to leave and to get elsewhere. One of the three movers that was sent (he said he was sent from "Facebook MarketPlace") was definitely NOT a professional, and had some type of issue with our nationality. This same employee was verbally abusive and continuously made Racial Slurs to me, and my father. He threw our boxes and furniture up the stairs with absolutely no care. This employee also assaulted me physically by throwing small pieces of broken furniture at me. We immediately called the Austin Police Department police and filed a Police Report for this abuse and for racial discrimination. We felt threatened by this employee as we have a very small child and did not know if this person was under some type of substance, if he was armed, or if could return at a later date and injure my family in any way. Nothing was put together by the movers, (beds and bedroom sets, bedroom wardrobe, living room furniture, etc..) items such as our television was broken, furniture in my baby's room purposely broken by the employee listed above, boxes were thrown up the stairs as if it were garbage, while at least another 32 boxes are still left sitting in my garage and need to be taken upstairs. We had to mount all of our furniture ourselves and carry them piece by piece upstairs when we hired PRESTO LOGISTICS to do this job. We contacted PRESTO LOGISITIC by phone and were promised that our TV would be replaced, but as of now NO TV and NO reply to our written formal complaint about their employee's behavior. I strongly suggest looking elsewhere for a moving company as PRESTO LOGISTICS employs people (at least at destination; from our first-hand experience ) that are not professionals. PRESTO LOGISTICS does not take responsibility for their staff performance, the delivery of furniture in the same condition given to them, nor do they render services promised.
Terrible experience
When it comes to communication and honesty, this company sucks. They mixed up my baby's mattress and a few other valuable items during delivery, then notified me that it had been recovered, but the dispatcher who I was supposed to meet in Casper never called to let me know where he was, and I kept getting his voicemail. My child was forced to sleep on the floor due to the company's inability to answer and return calls. If I could curse, I would because they have made moving extremely unpleasant for me, and I am furious!! You're a bunch of jerks!!
Highly recommended
I was referred to them by a friend, and he was very pleased with the results, as I am. It simplified the procedure by reducing the need to contact a number of companies and obtain estimates. The movers were efficient, and the delivery was completed in eight days. I thanked my friend for the recommendation, and if I ever need to relocate or know someone who does, I will use Presto.
Dishonest company
The movers who pack and deliver your items are hard-working and honest. The company Presto and its assessors in the office are a problem. They're lying. They'll keep you down with the assessment, and then leave the actual movers to deal with your discontent. Dishonesty is not supposed to get any stars.
Exceptional service
My experience with Presto was comparable to none at all. I truly felt like I was given an exceptional level of service, but it seems that this is their normal protocol. Henry went over to my house to give me a statement, then he was fully accessible on the day of the move, and I had to speak to him at 6 a.m. when the team arrived. He kept me up-to-date until I got my arrival, and even after I had some minimal injuries to a couple of pieces. Keep up the great work of Presto, can't wait for you to move my parents across the country, too!
Presto logistics service
From Beginning to End: Henry and Presto Moving were great. Not one thing has been broken. There wasn't one thing missing. All of our stuff has been accounted for. I was worried about my $600 Taylor acoustic, but as any player knows you always ship an instrument in a hard shell case, in our case the guitar is fine. The driver was great on delivery. He was very professional and caring about things. Excellent Communication, good service!
Long distance move
When we telephoned Presto Logistics for our move, they were all super nice and helpful. Henry has come out for the estimate. I was told we were going to have about 1200 cu ft. Once our belongings were loaded, we were told that we had 1,800 cu ft. Since the truck was 26 ft, I'm not sure how it could fit 1,800 ft. The cost increased by 36%. I asked over an 18-wheeler coming down our street, and I was told that if they had to rent a smaller truck and load it, it would be about $600 more. When our furniture finally arrived, the truck wasn't going to fit down our street as supposed. The driver said he had to get a smaller truck, and the extra cost would be $2,100. We didn't have a choice. The delivery was done at night. Our bed and dressing room were broken and even some boxes were missing. I called Presto and I was given a website to register the loss. Once I got the info, it said it wasn't going to do any repairs. At his point the repairs had already been done (I wasn't going to sleep on the floor in thirty degrees of weather). This move has gone from $4,650 to $9,270. Double the original estimate. Thanks god the delivery guy took the extra charge from $2,100 to $1,260. I feel like I was totally misled by this move.
Thanks Presto Logistics
What an awesome moving team! From Dave to Henry to Ricardo to Jay, all of them took care of me step by step during the whole move. At first, Dave contacted me and went over more information with me that I felt secure enough to have him plan his manager to come home and give me a firm quote. Henry came out and couldn't have been more respectful and up front about the process that I loved. He set up his A team because Ricardo and his team went to my house and took care of my possessions like their own. They were quick, but they obviously knew what they were doing. Jay, the delivery driver hired a crew locally, one of the guys wasn't really following orders, but other than that the driver had a handle on everything and didn't leave until I was totally satisfied. Thanks Presto for a wonderful moving experience!
