Let me start by saying, I was incredibly impressed with Northern Moving Systems overall. Moving is never fun, but they made it a much smoother experience than I expected. The Good: Careful Crew: The movers themselves were fantastic. They were friendly, professional, and incredibly careful with my furniture. Not a single scratch or dent on anything! Great Communication: The sales rep, John, was awesome. He patiently explained everything (packing options, insurance, etc.) and kept me updated throughout the process. There were no surprises on moving day, which was a huge relief. Efficient Packing: These guys can pack! They were fast and organized, which saved me a ton of time (and probably some frustration). A Minor Bump: The only snag was a slight delay on delivery. It wasn't a huge deal - just a few hours - but it did push back my unpacking schedule a bit. To their credit, John called right away to explain the situation and apologized profusely. Overall: I would absolutely recommend Northern Moving Systems. Their customer service is top-notch, the crew is fantastic, and they take great care of your belongings. The hiccup on delivery didn't overshadow the overall positive experience. i went with northern on my move from ny to nj and they did a really good job. The local office there was a pleasure to deal with. the quote process was pretty easy. The movers that moved us were super respectful and did a really good job. Thank you guys for your help.

Disappointed

Northern Moving Systems was a nightmare for me. They disappear after taking your money and will not provide you with the help or guidance that they promised you beforehand. They are a broker (they don't finish the move themselves) and don't appear to check their partners very well in my experience, so it's truly a crapshoot whether you'll get a reliable, helpful firm or not. Then, because neither corporation wants to accept responsibility for the results, the blame is passed back and forth. If I were to do it over, I would just pay extra to use a genuine moving firm rather than a broker.

Worst experience ever!

I've relocated several times throughout the years but never had a problem until my most recent relocation. This business was the absolute worst. They wouldn't tell me a confirmed date until 24 hours before the time they were supposed to arrive, despite the fact that I had reserved the day three months in advance. Then they hired a different company to carry out the relocation. From pick-up to delivery, dates and times were all mixed up. Several goods were damaged, including furniture. The dispatcher was arrogant and disrespectful. I will never do business with this company again.
