Worst experience we've ever had.
This firm only lies to you and gives you the runaround. We were assured (again) that our shell would be delivered on a specific day; we waited, and there was no shell. We contacted New Way Moving Services, only to find out after many phone calls that the shell was still in transit and no one knew where it was, so we're stuck here with almost none of our possessions. We contacted numerous times, requesting to speak with a supervisor, and were promised that one would call us back, which never happened. Our experience with New Way Moving Services was horrible. It's been one headache after another, and it's still going on. You will be sorry if you ever utilize this company.
Does not fulfill
Under no circumstances should you utilize New Way Moving Services (also operates under the name Pack Rat). We ordered a Pod a month in advance. On the day the pod was supposed to be delivered, we were told it couldn't be done since there were no pods available. We were advised that the earliest date of POSSIBLE delivery was the day it was to be picked up and we were to relocate. Who manages a business like this when they can't even keep track of their inventory against customer needs? Very bad business practice. DO NOT RECOMMEND.
Worst moving business I've ever used.
They gave me a quote over the phone after going through all of the items and boxes we had, all in order to accept my deposit. When the moving day arrived, the truck driver went over everything, and called the company, and said that the 26-foot truck they sent was not all for me, I suppose to use only have of the truck, based on the space the company set for us, we had a two-story house with three rooms, two dining areas, and two living areas, plus around fifty already packed boxes.REALLY, ONLY HAVE A TRUCK.!! Definitely, a smart technique to persuade clients to pay extra on the day of the move. They wanted us to pay an additional $2700 after we had been contracted and paid a deposit of over $2000..be careful people,NOT A TRUSTWORTHY COMPANY.
Without any refunds
I called this business since I needed to relocate my two-bedroom apartment across two states. I paid a $936.00 deposit; the original cu ft of the unit estimate was 600 (approx. $2600), which I believe was understated in order to obtain the nonrefundable deposit. On the day of the relocation, they conducted a walkthrough, recalculated the cu ft to 1200, and raised the fee to $5300. I canceled the service since I got a terrible feeling about them. According to their contract, the first deposit is nonrefundable, which I disagree with because they were only at my flat for an hour. Three males arrived, which would cost around $300 per hour. I would never use this firm again, and I intend to warn my friends about it. If this were the final business I could hire, I would not give them more than $100 as a down payment and would only allow them to perform in-home estimates.
sweet people.
They were quite helpful when I moved into my new apartment. They not only helped me move out of my former apartment, but they also helped me set everything where I wanted it. These people are extremely professional and will do whatever you ask. I'd suggest them to anybody I know. What I liked best about their firm is that they are willing to stay longer than they are obliged to. I've never seen a moving company that was as dedicated and eager to assist individuals like this one.
Good
We had to transport a little amount of furniture and cartons from Houston to Chapel Hill. contacted us and offered us fair pricing, which we accepted. Not everything was right, but I would use them again. The price was reasonable, the movers were friendly, and they performed all they stated they would do. One box was missing, but they discovered it and delivered it to us. Overall, it was a successful move. Customer Service was extremely helpful. We will utilize them again.
Impressed
I just wrote two reviews on New Way Moving Services due to my dissatisfaction with their service. September, surprised me with a phone call in which he apologized for how I felt about the service they gave. I thought that was a really kind thing to do, but what really impressed me was that he did the most honorable thing imaginable; he attempted to recompense me as much as possible for the extra money I had to pay. I must admit that his actions have left me speechless. I never imagined the New Way Moving Services crew would be concerned about how I was feeling. Thank you so much, New Way Moving Services!
New Way Moving Services
Better to move by yourself. This company breaks all the promises it makes to you. For months I complained about my lost items, and I was never able to get any kind of compensation. I do not recommend this company to anyone.
Very poor service, they need a zero
Although we gave them the list of all our things when the movers arrived they charged me a lot more money than estimated. They called me many times to change the delivery date, it was a nightmare. It's a horrible company and they don't deliver on any of their promises.
Terrible Company
The worst company I have ever dealt with! They overcharged me, they lost my deceased sister's belongings and destroyed my neighbor's garden with their truck. They paid no attention to my claims for lost property. After millions of calls and emails, I was given a check for $ 300 for damage to my neighbor's property. When my neighbor went to collect it, it was returned to him for insufficient funds. What a lack of respect!
