Bad experience
Each item of wooden furniture I own (chest of drawers, wardrobe, headboard, footboard, and end tables) has been scraped, gauged, and dented. Lamps were shattered. I paid for "professional movers," but did not obtain the assistance I expected. The movers stole the keys to the moving vehicle and refused to return them. At 10:30 p.m., their manager had to bring them to me. The office had the movers arrive at the unloading location five hours early. They are not recommended by me.
The most dishonest company
We recently hired this organization that claims to be a family-owned business rather than a broker. That was the first deception. Mr. Kaplan, a coworker, is a pathological liar. He appears to be helpful, but when you try to connect with the organization, you get the ultimate runaround. The organization failed to meet the first agreed-upon moving date. This was an out-of-state relocation that included a house closing, which caused more tension than expected. When the movers had picked up the furniture, the first binding quote was updated. The movers demanded more money than Mr. Kaplan had told me to have on hand in the form of a tellers check. In this train of deceit, each individual's company blamed the other company. When the third company showed up at a storage facility at 8 p.m., they attempted to haggle us for an additional $100 because the storage unit was on the interior. The contract expressly stated that there would be an additional charge if the objects were to be carried more than 75 feet. It was just about 20 feet away from the truck. It was just about 20 feet away from the truck. One of the movers yelled at me and said he wouldn't take the things off the truck unless we paid them $100 in cash. They were both threatening and excoriating! Fortunately, a friend was nearby, so we could get the money despite being informed that the balance due had to be sent by postal money order. We were only informed of this shift a few hours before the transfer. This was one of the most tense deception experiences I've ever had. I will never, ever suggest this business!! It was a never-ending collection of lies and deceptions. It's a crime!!
Terrible service
From start to finish, this was a nightmare. Before this move, I had moved 8 times in 48 years of marriage. None of them were as terrifying as this one. I had been overcharged. Taken from. Boxes were searched, and file boxes were broken into. Things on my inventory were trashed or left behind on purpose because the movers didn't want to be bothered. The drivers at my new house were disrespectful and demanded more money. They argued with my new neighbor and told them to mind their own business. They piled boxes to the ceiling in one room. The boxes were turned upside down. Fragile had no meaning for them. People should be informed that Madison VAN LINES subcontracts to other transportation firms. They do not investigate those companies to determine their reliability. You could end up with a gang of thugs, as I did.
Good Experience
This is something I rarely do, but it is the least I can do for this business. Madison Van Lines has been incredibly supportive to me and my family by taking such good care of our personal belongings. I was afraid of being in charge of picking a mover to carry us over 2000 miles! Right away, it was obvious that my sales rep was genuinely optimistic and seemed to take a lot of pride in the company, which I liked.
from Floral Park to Corinth
Exceptional moving company
After seeing how they operate, I hired them! First, hire a moving expert, such as Maggie. You can call them at any time and talk to them LIVE...not by recordings, extension numbers, or pleading for a live person to respond! The transfer went extremely well...Garrett and Miguel were fantastic! When they arrived a few days later, I was overjoyed! I wanted them to pause the delivery until the floors in the new house dried. No problem...just contact your moving company. I strongly recommend this company...they care and, most importantly, they DO THEIR JOB! Moving isn't easy...but they all made it go more smoothly! Thank you so much!
Move from TX to CA
I used Madison to relocate from Houston, Texas, to San Francisco, California. I was satisfied with the service they provided. My sales representative, Brooke, was excellent at guiding me through the moving process and was very honest about what to expect. Other movers I talked with tried to convince me to pay a deposit. I would hire these people again.
