Be careful!
Long Distance Van Lines is an awful business. The first people you talk to seem amazing, and they seem to be giving you a lot. What they don't inform you is that you get a low offer, and if the cubic footage goes beyond their estimate, you pay twice for some items (e.g. packaging materials). Price doubles once you get over their estimate). Let's not forget that they're making their estimates orally, rather than sending anyone out. At first the person I talked to did my estimate wrong and 4 days before Long Distance was supposed to come out somebody else did a second inventory, charged me a $250 fee to make adjustments to my inventory, then charged an additional $1000+. I was irritated, but I found out something. I can't do much about this since, luckily enough, you can't cancel and get a full refund unless it's 7+ business days until you transfer. I can see what you guys have done there. Anyway, they came out the day and told me they can't take any liquids or light bulbs. I was so mad that nobody told me this before time, and Arhat isn't listed in any of your paperwork or on their website. The next day, I contacted Lissa from QA, and she was over and above rudeness, giving me an attitude, insisting that she told me this when she contacted me the week before. She didn't call me, I called her, and she never told me that. If their calls were registered as they say, you'd think they wouldn't be so disrespectful. Oh! And I had more things than they estimated BOTH occasions, so there's a $250 fee and a total of almost $4000 more than my initial quote. The only positive part was that my things got here the earliest date they assured. But the movers packed my belongings and didn't check to see if the drawers were empty and started breaking things. All my furniture was chipped or damaged. Their insurance does not cover cracks and bruises. This organization is a bunch of rude, money-hungry crooks who would not have the business of anybody.
Unethical and rude company
Sales lied and misquoted the first $6415 quote for 40 objects. Customer support has been via our MLS and has sent a new quote of $13,000. Movers late >2hours will not be able to complete a pass. Forced us to resign from a new deal at 3 a.m. for over $8000 if they did not deliver and placed in storage and paying rent. The next day, didn't deliver. When delivered most of the things were broken. customer service denied 110 percent piano rule left in the hot garage. It's 90-100 degrees. A lot of calls without any answer. The movers were arrogant and used vulgar language while working. We've always got PTSD from all of this. Significant damage to our grandfather's clock and fine furnishings. If you're interested, we have more photos.
They didn't disappoint my dad
My old man decided to go back to his home in Carolina, and I was responsible for his move. I knew his household was tall, so I had to find a mover to manage the move efficiently. I did my research and discovered Long Distance Van Lines. After a background check and so on, I gave them the work, and it was wonderful. Early on, they arrived with tools and materials to get the ball rolling. They had finished packing in no time and made sure it was all right. At the end of the day, my dad had gladly moved to his new home.
Thank you so much!!
Last week, I relocated from Indiana to Florida, and I hired Long Distance Van Lines for my move. The guys showed up on time and delivered all on time. That was my main worry. All was done really well, and luckily they kept within my budget. I said it once, and I'm going to say it again. Thank you so much, Long Distance.
High quality
I've seen my family and friend relocate, both long distance and in-state relocations, but I've never seen any other movers providing services like Long Distance Van Lines. Earlier this month, I relocated to Long Island, and I had them manage the transfer. My relocation was one of its kind. You were supposed to be there when they got the ball rolling. Their coordination was noticeable from the moment they began packing to the time they were unloading their heavy trucks.
