Great service
We began a very rocky move. Before we started packing, we were looking for a moving company that would make our move and we weren't happy with the numbers we were receiving. And then we got a call from Kangaroo Van Lines and what a treat it was. They gave us a breakdown of everything, costs, extra costs (if required) and time frame. They were so gentle about what we were looking for. We assumed they were planning to give us a very tough price on the phone like all the other companies, but they gave us a price that beat all the other companies we called. So we were booking our job. When it was time for the movers to move, they came and helped us with everything. We packed most of it, although they were happy enough to help us pack the rest of it. It was a really great experience, honestly. The best part of it was that we received everything just the way we left it with them. All in all, great experience and a good company.
Good company
I have chosen kangaroo van lines to handle my move from AZ to FL. I've been contacted by Chris, and we've set up an appointment to make a video tour. He took huge care to make sure that we added everything to my inventory list. The greatest part about the service was that I paid the same cost as I was quoted and delivered my things within the timeframe that we discussed. On both ends, the movers were great. A good job all around! I'd definitely use them again!
Stay away
We've given so many different time periods that our stuff will even ship from their facility to our new location. They've had our stuff for over three days now!! And we're still waiting for that. We were told it was going to ship three days ago and when we called to confirm it was on the way we were told it was going to be delayed for another 4-6 days!! This is just so unacceptable!! Where are our stuff? Are they lost? Stollen? Has the employee provided their own home with them? When is someone finally going to give us the ACTUAL answers?
Grateful
I used it to move my mother to a living facility, closer to my home, and these guys came through for me. I planned to fly down to my mom's house to pack a box ahead of time for her, but when my plans changed and I just can not make it down there, Mike was able to pack a full pack of last minute for us, and he saved the day. I just gave him 2 days notice of the packing materials and on the pick-up day, Joshua and the crew arrived and packed the entire apartment in about 5 hours. Super hard staff on the crew. If I ever move again, I'm going to use you guys again. Thank you. Thank you!
Won´t hire again
We relocated from Ca to MI and the original quote was about 7K, so we ended up spending 14K! Yes, we had a lot of things and filled a 26 foot truck to the brim, but their estimating tools were a long way off. They delivered on the last day of the grace period of 30 days. So we've had minimal items for almost 40 days.If that wasn't bad enough, a lot of our things was broken and the boxes were looting as if they had just been thrown around, ripped open and crushed. Many of the items they packed were broken as well. They broke the legs of a solid wood desk, how are you doing that? I had a lot of fishing poles where the tips were broken off, and a lot more than I care to think about... On a good note, all the movers coming and going have been very nice and have taken good care of our items. The fault with this company is the storage and repacking of the truck in their warehouse. Generally speaking, it's been a long and exhausting process, and we're never going to use it again. It would have been cheaper to just sell it all and start over. It's going to be interesting to see how they're doing with claims
