I highly recommend them for your upcoming move
I hired the Movers for a whole-home packing & moving service in Alexandria, and from my initial call to job completion they were responsive, professional, and a delight to work with. Scheduling with Rich was a breeze, and he was very communicative, prepping me with everything I needed to know for my first professional move. Day-of I had the absolute best team in Andrew, Reggie, and Domo! It was a huge job and a very long day, but they were positive & efficient, worked so hard until the very end, and were honestly just so lovely to work with. Hopefully I won't be moving again anytime soon, but if I do, I'll definitely be calling this guys
Bad experience
This is NOT a moving company, they are a broker company that hires movers for you and then takes a cut of the pay out. You’re better off hiring a company directly, all they did was confuse us and make it more difficult. We ended up paying an extra 1k all because this company gave us wrong information in our quote and under-estimated how much the actual company would charge us. I tried to contact them multiple times with questions and was ignored over phone and email. Their delivery information was incorrect and our stuff got there on a random day without warning. I was told my case would be reviewed and still haven’t heard back. This was a very bad experience, you can find better elsewhere.
We were scammed by Interstate!!
Read all the 1 stars reviews on this page. Everyone that says this company pulled a BAIT and SWITCH on them is telling the TRUTH! This just happened to us and now we're out thousand of $. We've hired multiple movers over the years, even just did 2 international moves. We've never had an issue with a company. Hanging up on us on the phone, lying about delivery dates and then charging storage pricing. It was a stress and a terrible experience!!! We used a friend's recommendation which is our mistake. That this company continues to screw people over is theirs. Find someone better. Save your money.
Do not use these criminals
On 4/3/23 I received a bid from Leroy Smith 5614860467 to move to MO. We completed a walkthrough and quote for 4.5k was received. We paid an outrageous deposit of 2.1k to "secure" our move due to his high pressure sales tactics used. Stating he could not guarantee our dates unless booked on the phone with him right now. As we are packing and reading the contract to know what to expect on move day, I notice that Leroy has only quoted 650 cuft for a 2 bed 2 bath with garage. Not sure how you fit an entire apartment into less cuft than a 10x10 room??? The inventory list Leroy provided looked nothing like what we discussed on the phone. He incorrectly labeled items discussed and left others completely off the quote. We called Leroy on 4/17/23 to discuss and and he said he would call back in 15 min. The day goes by with no call back. On 4/18/23 we call customer service and are told that we need to speak with quality assurance to verify items on the list that should have been correct on the first quote. We receive a call on 4/19/23 from the QA person. Once we go through the same list of items that was discussed with Leroy, we now magically owe another 2.4k to move the same materials. Obviously, we do not have this kind of additional money laying around and we tell the QA person this. We are now routed to the "manager" Sam (561) 486-0438 who has more authority. We talk with Sam explaining the above. Sam takes 500 off the price because we remove items from the list. We still cannot afford this move. Sam says he will look at options and get back to us on 4/20/23. Sam is never heard from again and does not answer. Based on the high pressure sales tactics and inevitable future extortion we are requesting that a refund on the 2.1k deposit be provided. P.S. if anyone is reading this and would like to call Leroy 5614860467 or Sam 5614860438 and thank them for ripping off a nurse for 2.1K it would be appreciated!!!

This guys are great.
From the first call with a pleasant and knowledgeable receptionist to the final hndshakes with the professional and hard-working crew, this has been the best moving experience I've ever had. Communication was outstanding. Scheduling was easy. The crew arrived ready to go. The job was done efficiently. There was not a single moment of doubt or uncertainty in their service.

Great Experience
I’m really glad I went with Interstate Relocation and moving company for my recent cross-country move. My belongings arrived on time and without a scratch. The crews on both ends were courteous, professional, and quick. Customer service was engaged and supportive. Moving is never easy, but Interstate Relocation and Moving Company presented one less problem to deal with

Residential moving
Andy, Daniel, and Connor did such an awesome job moving us from our apartment. They were SO quick and able to pick up items from my boyfriend’s place as well as drop others off at my sister’s. I’m glad they cap at 5 hours for a single move so the workers can get breaks (and probably have more energy for your next move). Would HIGHLY recommend using them. Friendly, affordable, professional, and a lot easier to communicate with and use than other companies.
DO NOT HIRE THIS BROKER
If you are planning on moving you must read this entire review. This not only applies to the companies I am reviewing, but to all moving companies! Beware! I hired Interstate Moving and Relocation Group based on their reviews. I never used a moving company before. I spoke to a broker and signed up with the company thinking they were reputable! I was not aware of the 60 cents per pound replacement if you did not buy additional insurance. Which on my contract shows 6 options starting at $250 up to $1500. What's that all about? You get a link to a "Your Rights and Responsibilities When You Move" It is 27 pages long!! Really? These moving companies get away with paying you just pennies for your broken items! My damages came to $1600 and they paid me just $134, because I was naive and uninformed! I was not aware that moving companies could even get away with this! Why are there even federal laws in place when this is the best that these laws can protect us? I would think my broker would have explained this to me and made sure I was properly informed! It's my understanding that they don't have to, but wouldn't that just be the right thing to do as a representative of a reputable company? I would never have agreed to a 60 cent per pound replacement if I had been properly informed! I don't remember signing any waiver saying that I did not want additional insurance or that it was even necessary! A reputable moving company should be willing to just take care of the damages that they incurred through negligence! But obviously a reputable company was not what I got! Supposedly, on the contract that I was sent to me on my phone, I e-signed the contract. By signing, I was accepting that waiver of insurance unbeknownst to me! I guess did not mark a Box saying I wanted the insurance starting at $250. Although, I don't know how I could have anyway, since it was sent to me on my phone? I found out the hard way, after hiring Interstate, they subcontracted my move to a company called Ready, Set, Go Moving and Van Lines out of Los Cruces, NM! This moving company was blatantly careless with my boxes. Boxes and items were thrown and heavy boxes were stacked upon boxes clearly marked "Fragile". Big screen TV smashed top side that was packaged in a clearly marked U-haul TV box. Items that I've had for years were tossed and broken bcause they were obviously thrown or dropped! Just a year previously, on my move from Nebraska to El Paso, my daughter and I packaged all of the same stuff in similar boxes and packaging. I hired my cousin's son, my nephew and a freind to pack and load a rented U-haul and we drove it all the way to El Paso. Once there I hired two men my Realtor recommended to unload the U-haul for me. NOT ONE THING WAS BROKEN! I hire a supposedly reputable Moving company and I get several damaged items valuing almost $1600. I was in constant touch with Interstate Moving about this company they subcontracted to. I sent them reviews from other people that had used them, that showed how bad this company was and is! I complained constantly by phone and email about their incompetence, their lack of communication regarding my delivery. They're refusal to call me back or respond to me in any way. They were still 2 weeks late on delivering my items after the 30 day required notice. The only way I would ever get them to respond was to call Interstate! The reason I bring up the other company in regards to Interstate Moving is because my question is: Why are they still continuing to use such a horrible moving company? Nothing should have ever been broke to begin with, if I had a competent moving company that was not so blatantly careless with my items! But interstate continues to use this company to this day! Why??? Answer: They have some good reviews overall, so now they don't care and subcontract out whoever they can, with no regard to whether it is a reputable company or not! So, in closing, get your own moving insurance, make sure when they sub-contract out the move to another mover, that you are informed who they are. Look at all the recent reviews, do your research and do not sign anything until you do! Even then…Be weary!
BAIT & SWITCH
BUYER BEWARE!. Classic BAIT & SWITCH tactics. UNETHICAL business. Boiler plate response with complaints. IGNORED correspondence from multiple ATTORNEY GENERALS and returned Certified mail. They stole 2000 dollars. This was a deposit made for a move that they quoted only to deny return once their "cancellation" window expired as they adjusted pricing at 60%! Absolute garbage.
