Broken furniture

I paid Hawaii pro movers to move 33 boxes and one jewelry armoire chest from Honolulu to Arizona. They charged me at the equivalent of $100 to ship the armoire. It was the only piece of furniture that was shipped.. when the moving truck arrived at my house in Hawaii they wrapped the armoire, not me. When the armoire arrived in Arizona, it was broken. Again they wrapped the armoire, and they broke the armoire in the course of moving it from Hawaii to Arizona. They offered me $36 for the armoire. cost $299 if I wanted to buy another one. They charged me as I said earlier the equivalent of $100 to ship it so they broke it and they wouldn’t even refund their shipping cost after them breaking it. They refused reimbursement on the value of the armoire or anything additional because I didn’t take the insurance on the move with them. The insurance in my estimation was for fire, flood something beyond their control.. they broke the armoire which was totally in their control and they wrapped it and they had the nerve to offer me $36 for it. I spoke to Tia Aleksandrova at their office, who was rude condescending, and could absolutely care less that they broke my furniture. Do not let this company take your valuable furniture. Look at all the reviews on here they will break your furniture and then they will deny any wrongdoing and try to offer you pennies on the dollar on the furniture that you probably worked extremely hard for to buy …this was one of the worst companies I have ever dealt with,

Solid quote and great customer service

We moved from Honolulu to Nevada and used Hawaii Moving Pros. They were in continuous contact with us during the process and answered all of our questions if we initiated a call. We had a specific delivery timeline for which they met. Items were in great condition. I bolt for bed frame was missing but that is minor issue. Shout out to Michael, Teddy and Richard for their service.

Stolen Items

Moved from HI to CA. Upon arrival the CA mover told me that a few of the items that were on my inventory list "did not make it". The moving company contracted insisted I open a police report. I opened a claim form with the movers, and there's an ongoing investion with the Honolulu PD. They offered me $6 for my "missing guns" The offered me $12 for a broken surf board that they charged me $200 for "extra wrap and protective packaging" Absolutely terrible customer service.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER

I mean we were moving from Florida and they had Hawaii in their name how could you go wrong? Well first of all they're not from Hawaii they're from LA. They don't even speak English I'll speak Spanish mind you I don't mind Spanish but that should have been a clue. They came and picked up our stuff which we hand packed owning our own shipping company. They shipped it to LA and held it hostage for 2 weeks, then they told me that because I didn't pay the storage bill they couldn't get it on a matson container, so I called Manson. They told me that they had containers available every day. So they held it hostage so they could collect the money for storage. While we were in Hawaii we waited 90 days for it to get here. Once it did and then unloaded it. Over 20% of it was broken, now mind you we own our own pack and ship store and we have moved complete businesses, when it was a picture framing business. 10% of the items that we shipped got lost supposedly including our moving dolly which evidently the movers like more than we did. Read the insurance and then get your own if you use these people because they paid us six Sense a pound for everything that got lost. They wouldn't pay us for anything that got broken because we did our own packing. Just remember if they have the word Hawaii in their name it doesn't mean they know a darn thing about it if they have the word movers in their name it doesn't mean they know a darn thing about it if the guy's name is Michael, and everybody refers to him as Miguel, they're not really in Hawaii. If you use these people you're a fool just like I was. Read the review take it for what it is!

Devil is in the details!

Be sure to read the fine print on their contacts! I chose to use HMP because they based the move on cubic feet, not weight and I thought it would avoid last-minute surprises of over-weight projections. Service was friendly and they showed up on time, but they did a poor job of packing our belongings. In the stress of the move, I failed to oversee how they packed our larger fragile items such as mirrors, pictures, lamps, etc. Too much was unnecessarily damaged or destroyed. Compensation at 60 cents/pound is laughable but that's what they compensate at. Unfortunately, insurance is expensive and deductibles are high but it is needed if you use these guys. Be sure to get insurance and do not accept their minimal packing standards if shipping is anything but local.

Moved to California from Hawaii

I had the same horrible experience Benjamin Keip. I asked for a pack and move the night before my move they tired to pul a fast one. They had broken items and destroyed boxes. They made it difficult to file a claim and they ended up sending me a check for less the 3rd of the agreement amount. Don’t waste your money on this company.

Liars

If I could, I would give negative 100. One star is a way to a lot. This organization was lying to us from the start. They told us the wrong day we were going to get our stuff up until the day of delivery. All we spoke to lied about lying do not use them unless you want a heart attack to be put off and without your things for 45 "business days" everyone who said they helped lies. There was nothing for us.

Best rate!!

Michael is the best service representative in the industry! He answered all my questions in a timely manner, I didn't feel hurried, and he gave me a great offer ($5,000 cheaper than other companies) The process was simple, stress-free, and efficient. All my questions were answered and I had a full order number within 10 minutes.I'm certainly going to suggest Michael to friends/family looking to move. Ask  for Michael to Get the Best Price!!

Move from AZ to HI

I'm not going to lie that I was a little doubtful only because I was burned in the past by a moving company, but I can say that I had a wonderful time with Hawaii's moving pros, who seem to have a fantastic team there to manage my transfer from start to finish.

My last move

Don't hire these people. They're not interested in how your stuff is treated. I'm missing a lot of boxes, most have been opened or destroyed. I've got a lot of broken things. They've stressed me out, and I'm disappointed with the end result. My last moving company did it professionally, with nothing lacking or hurt. Unfortunately, they were a local business, otherwise I would have used them.
