NO SHOW NO CALL
My mum contacted this company to help her move and made a date and time agreement. She has tried to reach them all day and nobody responded to her call. She 'd tried to communicate with several men. Eventually, a friend of hers was able to talk to somebody and they were told they were doing a "big job," but they said they were going to be there. Time started to pass and around 4 pm, when she spoke to someone they said was on their way from Coral Gables. Well, this is Miami and we know what traffic is like! Initially my mother informed them that she had to move everything until 6 pm because after that point the complex wouldn't allow movers in. Today was the day of movement and none ever came along. Time was going, and NOTHING! A while later they basically told her that they would not make it after making her wait all day. My mum reached out to these people because as my husband and I are out of the state, she has no one to help her. That was beyond being unprofessional. If I could post 0 stars I would definitely! Don't trust your time with these people! They 're going to leave you dangling!!
They are con artists
They are con artists watch out for their scam!!! We make an estimate on the moving day to increase it by 50 percent. I had an estimated walk and even so they had the courage to switch prices on the spot. An estimate which they provided personally. They lie to get your business and then, once they've got your stuff, you become a hostage. The 10 business days, too, instantly become a 28 day period. Be aware of this plan. Hopefully, this company will not cheat another person of good faith.
additional costs Liars!
You have returned from FL settling mom's affairs. Getting moving co last minute info. Just one side note for all my friends out there-NEVER, NEVER use the "Green Van Lines" to move needs. Horrible customer service, and added extra costs "after" an estimate agreed!! ... And that's just the tip of the iceberg; they keep my belongings hostage unless I pay them extra costs they call ' additional packaging costs '!! They also want to take down my driveway with a 72 ' tractor-trailer. It just won't happen!! If they try that they will never get out of here!! Very steep, narrow, and gravel passageway. ¡ Ha!! They loaded my belongings on a Florida 26 ' truck and now they're telling me about the 72 ' tractor-trailer then a smaller truck to get down my driveway ... This makes my stuff moved 3 times already (they just told me by telephone that it will be moved 4 times before it gets to Virginia). MUCH greater chance it will damage things!
horrible Moving Company
Overall I had a horrible experience. The driver who picked up boxes didn't even have TV stand removal tools. I told him I had a website coupon that the company Arthur had told me to give him. He said he'd take it up at the delivery time. I asked repeatedly whether he would be the same company's driver and he said yes, but that was not the case. After multiple phone calls, the Feiffer was late. The driver lost a wardrobe box with my expensive suits at delivery, a charge of 75 dollars was added even though it was only one flight of stairs and the agent said I would not be charged for this. He didn't install my television and kept hurried. The driver was independent and had no Green Van Lines relationship. All in all, very unprofessional and the boxes were left for me to get rid of even though the website states that they are recycling. Do not wear them!!!!! Paul George
DO NOT USE GREEN VAN LINES
I was moving a long distance from Texas to Florida. I planned to pick up Green Van Lines a week before my friend and I made the drive so my furniture and I would arrive within days from each other. The pickup was great except the foreman was somewhat of an [ EDIT ], but that's pretty usual. They were fast, efficient and I was prepared for an increase in cost as I knew I had more than I had estimated to be worth $340 according to the foreman. They were in and out before noon and I was told to wait between 7 - 10 days for my stuff (Wednesday-Friday next week), but the delivery driver would call for confirmation later in the week. The driver calls Monday morning and says it will definitely not be delivered on Wednesday-either Thursday or Friday depending on traffic. On Wednesday I called him again to see if there was a more specific time frame for us. This time I was told, "tomorrow definitely not." So it was Friday. Neither the driver nor the owner returned my calls Friday. No mobilization. I finally got a call about five o'clock saying the delivery will be there the next day. Usually not a huge faux pas, but in this case I was going to drive 2 hours away to take my friend to the airport that day to return to Texas. I was told I would be charged a storage fee, a shuttle fee and a redelivery fee if I wasn't home and they made it clear they wouldn't wait. They also told me that 7 - 10 days is "just a guess" if they want to take up to 2 more weeks, and they can show without notice. So if I didn't take 2 weeks of paid holiday and wait for him, they could charge me for whatever they wanted. The truck STILL does not show up on Saturday after paying to reschedule my friends flight, move it to another airport and wake up at 5:00 AM to take her away so I could be home for the afternoon delivery. The driver's excuse was motorway traffic. The exact road I used to drive on. The highway that any other cars were completely void. Management did not seem to care he had taken his own personal holiday. On Sunday the driver shows up, unloading my stuff quickly. Boxes labeled "fragile" are smashed and ripped apart, about a third of my dishes are broken (yes, they were wrapped in bubbles), my TV stand is in pieces, the legs of my bed are broken, the actual shelves of my bookshelves are gone, the electronics box is missing, and to top it off, he says my couch will not fit in the door, so he leaves it in my front yard with mounds and garbage mounds that he left behind. I had a friend come and help me with the couch after he had cleaned up the trash he left in the yard. It fits perfectly. I would have preferred to use another company, to do it myself. Heck would even have been better to throw the furniture out of my second-story window into a dumpster. I can't warn humans enough. Never employ Green Van.
