I did business with this company 4 years ago when it was under a different ownership fast forward 4 years latter I solicited their services again for an out of state move. I was sent a good faith estimated invoice and break down of how much the move with supplies would cost. I told the booker that I was on a tight budget and didn't want any surprises. He assured me that the final payment would be very close to the invoice submitted ehich had exhuasted all costs plus or minus an hour or two time cost due to number of hours drive to me from traffic patterns. I went ahead and made a deposit. On the day of the move the truck took 5 hours to get to my location. Jamaica NY to Maryland. I had all items boxed and ready to be loaded on the truck the movers dispatched by the company were able to get everything on the truck under 3 hours. The journey to my final destination took 4 hours. The truck which was previously ahead in the journey arrives 20 minutes after I get there because " they had to take a detour" I get to my address and I was presented with a bill 1000 dollars more than what I was initially quoted. There was now an addition for gas, tolls, tape, blankets and a few boxes used for my furniture. They put a padlock on the truck and refused to offload unless I paid the extra 1000. I called and spoke to the owner about discontent in being misled. He was extremely rude and told me" I don't care" his movers would take my belongings to Jamaica new York and I could get another truck to come pick them up after I had satisfied all outstanding balance plus the extra 1000 dollars and they were not going to be responsible for the state of my items after they left. He would not negotiate. I gave them all I had in my account to satisfy the payment. They offloaded ruined my walls and TV stand and left boxes in my living room after expecting an extra 80 dollar tip each for three movers. This was the biggest business nightmare I have ever encountered in all of my adult life. Please please lawyer up if you will do business with this company. Do so at your own peril.

The team arrived on time, handled our belongings with care, and worked efficiently. We were able to complete our move in 4.5 hours. They even helped my dad move some heavy couches up the stairs. I reached out to a ton of companies and Fine Express provided the most affordable quote. I'll will certainly recommend this company to all my friends!

Moved with Fine Express and couldn't be happier with these guys! Moved from one-story to a three-story, so kudos to them for lugging up beds, TVs, couches and dressers (filled and wrapped) up two flights of stairs. Reasonably good value and some super hard workers! Would recommend it.

This was truly the worst experience I've ever had with a company. Want your stuff when promised? Do not use this company. Want customer service? Do not use this company. Want to know what you're actually going to pay? Don't use this company. Want to feel like your things are being held hostage? Use them.

Awesome local move
I'm a naturally nervous person, and I was dreading moving after having moved five times in New York City. Fine Express was the greatest decision I've ever taken. They moved everything I had rapidly and with great care, and the whole process from booking to the actual transfer could not have been simpler. You are quoted based on the amount of stuff you have and the distance/number of stairs, not by the hour, which I preferred because I didn't feel hurried, and the inventory list allowed me to inventory everything I own. If you have to relocate, don't be afraid to choose Fine Express!
Terrible experience
We were relocated from Queens to Florida by Fine Express. Our delivery was scheduled to arrive a week after we moved. I understand that things happen, particularly while traveling long distances, so our delivery was pushed back by about a week. I called and talked with the owner, Eli, and let's just say he doesn't have the best manners. He is a difficult person to work with. Lou, who also works there, was as friendly as can be. He tried to get my change rescinded because of the bad encounter, but Eli refused to budge. Our transfer ended up costing $1100 more than I had been quoted. I would NEVER recommend this moving company to a friend or family member. Choose someone else.

The Bureau of Compliance is the responsible regulatory authority that manages intrastate movers. Movers should be registered with the FMCSA to operate interstate.
