Terrible Scam

Where to start? Total scam. I thought they were Atlas Moving and Storage, had too much going on at the time. 1. they lied about being local, found out day before move they're not and had hired a subcontractor who I have no info about. 2. They changed out move date with less than 48 hours notice. It was Easter week and they "had no idea" that Latinos often take Santa Semana off so they realized they weren't going to have movers. As soon as htis happened our previously on call 24/7 rep became "sick" "out of the office" and "on another call." We missed our in person closing and walk through, otherwise we would have missed the deadline to be out of our house. On move day, 4.They said we had items not on the inventory and couldn't start loading the truck until we agree to an additional $1,200, I think. The paperwork is like a shell game so I can't even tell how much they added on. 5. When they showed up is the first time they said the balance had to be paid with a cashier's check, not cash or credit card. That made the scam part totally clear but at that point you have no options. I think they also charged for more packing materials and then, of course, left wihtout cleaning up the empty tape rolls etc which is just insult to injury. I'm so furious, I don't want anyone else getting taken by them.

JOKE COMPANY

Do not use this firm. It is a shambles. They dispatched a vehicle with a padlock on the main rear entrance but neglected to bring the key. They were unable to utilize the lift-gate (and main truck door) as a result of their utter irresponsibility, and they ruined numerous items of furniture. When I try to contact them, they are unhelpful and refuse to accept responsibility. Please contact me through private message if you had a similar experience since I will most likely have to settle this in court and would like to make this a class action. There was once a piece of furniture that they opted not to transport at all and refuse to deduct it from my charge - pure scam. Do not deal with them - they are not worth your time!

Do not deal with them.

It's been more than a month since my promised delivery date. They are brokers, not movers, and they are unconcerned about you or your belongings. I've called them several times on various dates, and I still haven't received my belongings. The contractor they hired to relocate my belongings has obstructed my path, and I have no idea where my belongings are. I've filed a claim, and my insurance company is looking into it. They are almost certainly a fraud, and you and your belongings are unprotected. This is my WHOLE house that was supposed to be relocated. They began to pick up, and now there are crickets.

Inexperiencied crew

In my experience, they only act professionally in public. This is an unlicensed moving company that does nothing to earn their money. They provided us a delivery window of 7-14 business days based on the distance. We are on day 20, and they are refusing to honor the contract to which they agreed. They will not call you back; they do not care where your belongings are or how long you have been without them; they will give you an attitude when you contact customer support, and they will speak extremely negatively to you privately. Record all of your phone talks with them, like I do, and attempt to interact as much as possible via email. When difficulties develop, they will lie to you about who is in charge. When asked to produce professional proof of status, they refuse. Examine the specifics of your deal, and keep in mind that no contract can be voided for gross negligence. Even if there is no gross negligence, a judge can look at what has transpired and overrule it. This is a horrible corporation that will abandon you and your family. Don't forget that you may request your bank to reverse the payment. Don't allow them to get away with mistreating you as they did my family; hire a lawyer. We still don't have our property, and they won't tell us where it is. In terms of overall performance, I rate this firm 0 stars.

Out of state

The people that load and unload your belongings are satisfactory. But that's a short story. Atlas Moving Systems DOES NOT EMPLOY THEM. THEY'VE HAS BEEN HIRED!! That is when the falsehoods began. The customer service is HORRIBLE. They make up lies about everything!! Calls should never be returned. Please disconnect!! Transfer you to someone else so they don't have to deal with you. Then they'll come up with a rationale why it's more expensive to pick it up than to deliver it. Don't use them unless you enjoy being lied to. So, once they have your possessions, they will not allow you to keep them until you pay what they demand. There will be more.

would not suggest them.

We relocated from New York to Rhode island  Our package was picked up some months ago  It's nearing the end of August, and it STILL hasn't arrived in my new location. Initially,  was quite helpful with our first inquiry and the process for retrieving our furniture, however, is not interested in following up. Our shipment's arrival date is unknown to the local agency in New York. It has already been postponed four times. When utilizing use extra caution to properly grasp the collecting date vs when it will be put on a ship. Also, inquire about the route and if it is a direct shipment or via another port   Ships, like are not sent half full since it is not economical, therefore they must wait for a ship to be completely loaded before it is released for its journey. I am are generally dissatisfied with them and would not suggest them to a colleague or friend.

Thankful

We were very happy with our move. Both packing and unpacking have been done carefully by professional and courteous staff. Our agent has fully prepared us for the move and answered any questions we may have. Nothing was broken, there were no hidden charges, and the movement went smoothly. Thank you.

Liars

We did business in good faith and trust in the pricing and delivery dates. When those dates came and went, our evaluation of the obo was literally dodged. They said something to make a sale, I guess, and that's just not someone you want to do business with.

Really good

I've had a good experience with Atlas Moving Systems. Customer service representatives have always been available, professional and able to answer any questions. The POD was packed, then moved twice while I was selling, and then bought a home. It was easy to plan those moves, and the drivers were on time. I loved working with them and I'm sure I'm going to recommend using them!
