Upset
After charging us DOUBLE the anticipated costs, being more delayed than indicated on delivery time, and then having a hidden extra at the end to have a tiny truck loaded with our items since our apartment complex is unable to load an 18 wheeler, our bill increased from $2500 to $5500. We phoned numerous times and were never returned; they were nasty and insulting to us, and they lied about pick-up dates. Essentially, they scooped up our belongings and sent them to a warehouse, where they sat for three weeks. My family (husband and 4-month-old twins) were staying on an air mattress in an empty apartment, which was a nightmare. American Moving Pros is not a company I would suggest.
Liars!!
This firm is deceptive and does not communicate. They will give you a low-cost quotation at first, but after they arrive at your home or apartment, the expenses will skyrocket by at least $500.00 to $1,000.00. They damaged my products during delivery, and I'm bringing them to court since they still haven't given me a settlement check. From the owner, Cliff, through the general manager, Robert, and others, this firm is a sham. I strongly encourage you to avoid this company because I will be bringing them to court right away.
This business is a sham.
You're done once they get your ACH deposit. They didn't even show up for our planned relocation. Most likely because we were too far away. Given the other complaints of additional costs and stuff being stolen, destroyed, or simply not turning up, I suppose I should be grateful.
It was tramautic
They appear to be interested in your company, but then outsource the task to extremely inept moving firms. They added an extra $1,000 with no reason. When one fat lady in a truck arrived (who claimed to have never moved anything in her life), 1/4 of my furniture was damaged. I had to personally take everything off the truck and EVEN BUY A DOLLY. It took me 4 hours to complete. They promised white-glove treatment. Then they destroyed my whole art collection. My late grandmother's artwork, as well as three huge framed pictures and prints. I also got a package containing the possessions of a stranger (car mats). There has been no cash compensation and no evidence of my artwork being returned. I'm very disappointed since they misplaced the most sentimental and crucial aspect of my relocation. This has been the worst customer experience of my life, and I'm considering legal action for theft. This firm is a disgrace! DO NOT WORK WITH THEM!
avoid it at all costs.
This is the worst corporation in the world. Save yourself the trouble and pay extra with another business. Until you sign the contract, it's just talking. I still haven't gotten my stuff, and it's been a series of problems. The Colorado-based business they work with is just as terrible. My price increased upon pickup, and I know my goods did not double; well, I'm sure they were more than I advertised, but not double. My original contract was signed in early, and my possessions were supposed to be picked up and delivered by the end of the month. It's already the end , and my belongings have been picked up but are being stored in a storage trailer at American Moving Pros since they can't get a truck to carry them. I'm going through a divorce and suffering from cancer, and they assured me that this move would be easy because I needed something to go right. Choosing this dishonest, untrustworthy fraud of a firm was the worst mistake I've ever made...
They are a trap.
Avoid this firm, particularly. They don't have their own moving vehicles and instead hire American Moving Pros, they are a joke and your items are going to be in bad movers, they are thieves, stole your belongings, which is even worse than these people. Do not put your valuables in the hands of this firm.
Do Not Work With This Company
I hired this business to relocate my stuff from Washington State to Virginia. In July, the goods were taken up. My belongings have still not been delivered as of October 8, 2021. informs me that they are still in storage in Washington and would not allow me to have another truck or carrier transport the things to me. The money has been paid in full, and they are way over the 21-day delivery deadline. Do not put your confidence in this firm!
Worst decision I've ever made!
Do not schedule any services with these guys under any circumstances!! They are dishonest and unprofessional people. American Moving Pros will subcontract the work to a moving firm, and you may not get your belongings within the time limit you choose. Read the small print and let yourself 30 days before receiving anything! They have no sympathy for long-distance movers and will request a non-refundable deposit, so you are practically trapped with them!!
The Most Valuable Items Had Gone Missing.
I was told two things: at least 24 hours notice before delivery, and no cash payment was asked for anything. Months later, the mover contacted to say he'd be there in two to three hours and demanded cash payment. I flatly refused. Following a substantial delay, the mover phoned again with two hours' notice, urging that I take delivery that day and pay a $300 "redelivery" charge. The firm then informed me that I would be given enough notice and would not be charged a "redelivery fee." The following time the mover called, he gave me three hours' warning and demanded that I pay the redelivery and storage expenses in cash.
THEY ARE CRIMINALS
You will have the worst moving experience you have ever had. They are thieves. Simple as that. You will NOT be given an in-person estimate. Over the phone, you WILL be given a terrific deal. You will have movers arrive at your home who is not from American Moving Pros, and after doing some investigation, you will discover that they have an F rating with the BBB. The total amount WILL BE MORE THAN THREE TIMES MORE EXPENSIVE THAN WHAT YOU WERE QUOTED OVER THE PHONE. Then, when you try to contact to resolve the situation, no one responds. Emails seeking a call back end up someplace in the abyss. They are aware of what they are doing and are aware that it is incorrect. Follow my advice and choose a trustworthy firm.
