Changing of Bid, Getting Furniture Back on time, other problems.
Was moving from Ill. to Fl. in April 2018. Called business & spoke with rep."Vince", who gave me the estimate. When "Javier" came to our home he re-did estimate, INCREASING it by $968! My house was sold---They already had my $950 deposit. I was stuck. We moved. On 6/25 I faxed to them our new address for delivery. Their contract states that on a move of 1001-1500 miles, delivery is within 2/14 days, which would give us until 7/9. Furniture was delivered on 7/14. In the meantime we slept on the floor or in our car. Luckily, damage was minimal, several broken glasses & picture frames, along with several metal lampshades bent out of shape. In the weeks that followed, we acquired NEW residents in our home-----ROACHES. I don't know where they stored our furniture, but I can say the "problem" did not present itself until AFTER our furniture was delivered. It took several months to completely eradicate the problem. We did receive some compensation for the delivery delay, however it was LESS than the $20 per day I had originally requested. Needless to say, I was not a "happy camper".
Rude
We contacted Agility to move us from VT to CO. They promised to a delivery date of April 1, but that never occurred. As a result, we have had no furniture in our new home and have had to remain in a motel. Agility appears confused and has no idea where our furniture is or when it will be delivered to us. This has been a nightmare caused on by poor service. This is not a company I would suggest to anyone. I tried to get some assistance and spoke with Shane at the company, who asked us not to text him before he hung up on me.
Professionals
They offered fantastic service. I was hesitant because I had heard so many horrible stories about moving firms. Agility disproved my thoughts. Their first estimate was correct, and they followed through on what my salesman promised. Their team was polite and professional. I would not hesitate to use them again if I ever needed a mover, and I would confidently recommend them to anyone. Agility, thank you so much!!
Poor services
Back on May 21st, when we signed the contract, John promised me that I would be the only one on the truck. Then, on June 18th, the driver, Shane, called to tell me that we weren't the only ones on the truck. I advised him that if he didn't deliver me on time, I would dispute the charges on my credit card. He then advised me to find another moving company, so if you're reading this and want to give a small local business a chance (despite their poor reviews), do yourself a favor and don't use Agility.
Really bad company
This business was awful! $1000 in belongings were lost, furniture was broken, and the floors were scratched, resulting in a final cost that was three times the initial estimate. The packaging quality was very low, resulting in many broken and damaged objects.
Real moving company
My moving experience had been made stress-free thanks to Agility Van Lines. My things had been well-protected by the movers, who had wrapped and padded everything. The moving company had kept me informed the whole time. I will use this moving business again in a heartbeat.
Great movers
When I first contacted Agility, they responded quickly and gave me an estimation. By far the best estimate I received from other companies who gave me an absurd quote. Christina was always attentive via text and responded quickly to all of my messages. Alex, along with two other guys, was my head mover. Alex had the other two movers on their toes by ensuring that everything was properly stored. He also went out of his way to accommodate my schedule.
Long distance move
From start to finish, I was very happy with the experience. The guys were very specific about each article, and all was completed on time. A few boxes were mistakenly left on the truck, and Agility was fast to locate and return the objects. I really recommend this company and will use them again if the need emerges. Thank you...
