Everything got wet
Let me first start by saying we have moved multiple times including overseas twice. We have never had such a negative horrible with a moving company. On a Sunday afternoon, we got a call from the movers themselves, saying they would be at our house in 8 hours. Around 8pm at night, this will bring them there. We live in a dark, wooded area. If that is what it took, the movers told us that they will remain unpacking all night. We asked them to deliver them in the morning for security reasons. On Monday morning, in the rain, they arrived to find that the moving truck was half open and our bikes were tied to the outside of the moving truck. They had driven like this for 900 miles and left the truck overnight. As it was clearly tied shut and not locked with a bolt, anyone could have opened the truck back easily. Our belongings were soaked in the back of the truck. We were surprised that, despite us being in a pandemic, the movers did not have masks to wear. After reviewing the damage to our goods, a manager contacted us to discuss it. She was very sweet on the phone at first, but after she promised to call back on a particular date/time, it was incredibly difficult to get in contact with her. We were in contact with her 10 days after delivery after several phone calls in which she was only able to refund us the regular refund of $ 10 / day past delivery date. In contrast to the costs we incurred due to the delay of our products, this compensation was small. I own an online company and all my supplies were on the move, so we also missed a month of income on top of the unforeseen additional expenses.
Watch out for this company lies from day one
I worked with A One Van Lines, they made all sorts of promises all of which were lies. They told me they will be delivering my items but it was another company. It took them almost 30days to even find a company to pick me. 90% damaged and my estimate was off. Manisha will tell you anything to get you to book. They purposely left items of their inventory to bait me into working with them and not with someone else. RUN FROM THIS SCAM
