Average moving company

When I was looking for assistance with my move to a new apartment, I came across Moving Giants. After receiving many quotations from various moving firms, Moving Giants provided me with fair pricing. They arrived on time and in a professional manner, and they handled all of my belongings with care, especially my fragile stuff! Furthermore, they are COVID-19 congruent. I had a fantastic day and would suggest them to everyone.

Long-distance relocation.

I booked this firm based on the reviews and prices I saw online, and what I was informed was not accurate. I was sold on hope and half-truths. To begin with, the movers who were supposed to pick up my belongings were more than 2 hours late, and when he eventually arrived, he was in a large truck that couldn't fit into my apartment. So he had to get a Uhaul to get my belongings, and then he charged me more for the Uhaul. I had to pay an additional fee for them to drop off the package in a smaller vehicle when it arrived a few days later than promised. These folks are more concerned with making a profit than with providing a service. Basically, I was quoted a service that they could do within a certain time limit, and when it came down to it, they couldn't. I was charged extra because they did not have the appropriate truck to fulfill the service I had previously paid for, and my items were delivered later than the specified time frame. I'll be using an Uhaul the next time, and I recommend you do the same.

If you want your belongings to arrive securely, their packaging staff is unrivaled. However, when all of the bids for our relocation from California to Texas came in around $25,000, Moving Giants'  pricing was just $14,000. I said, "I'll take it." That gives me a total of 11k issues covered. Just be aware that they pull a bait-and-switch on you, since they had methods of pushing their fee up to over $20,000 when all was said and done, not to mention thousands in gratuities, which I was glad to pay. The final conclusion is that we received all of our items delivered ultimately and in one piece, so despite their purposeful deception, I still saved roughly 20%.

The packaging and picking up were both excellent. The storage prior to travel was adequate. The delivery service was abysmal. It was completed later than expected and with inadequate resources to perform a competent job, I think that they could make a better job with their customers! .

BEWARE THEIR EXTRA CHARGES!

Moving Giants statement was fair. When they arrived at our flat to pack our possessions, they were in a hurry, and instead of filling each box with goods from one closet or location, they crammed everything in together in a jumble. The movers also got into a confrontation with our building's super because they refused to share the elevator and were forced out, so I had to finish hauling the boxes out of my apartment alone. Because it was late in the day, I only had around 20 boxes to move. They contacted me when they were nearly at my new place to tell me they needed to charge me an additional $750 because they had used excess boxes. It wasn't until they were gone that I saw several of the boxes were MOSTLY EMPTY, implying that they used up extra boxes merely to make an extra charge! When I approached management about it, they refused to do anything. They profit from this dishonest behavior, therefore I'm sure they're motivated to keep it going.

I'm not happy with my move.

This firm just relocated my belongings from California to Texas. Communication was abysmal. They dispatched movers who did not have the necessary paperwork to enter the base, so more workers had to be sent the next day. Then they were expected to be in Texas on a Monday, but they didn't arrive until around noon on Wednesday. When it arrived, there was just one man in his 60s to unload the vehicle. So he hired a boy off the street to assist him in moving all of my belongings into my apartment. Then they put EVERYTHING in one room and left me to put together two beds, one of which is still not put together because the room it is supposed to be in is already full! Okay, but please bring ALL of my belongings here. I can't reach anyone now to find out where my missing stuff is. This firm is NOT RECOMMENDED for any type of transfer or storage.

KEEP YOUR DISTANCE FROM THEM!!

Five Years From Now INC called me and gave me an estimate over the phone. He also gushed about their A+ BBB rating and the multitude of emotions they do. I eventually paid a deposit and scheduled pickup date, and he told me that he would be in touch during the transfer. I didn't hear from him again after that. When you dial their number, no one answers.

Liars, Thieves, Criminals !!

You will have the worst moving experience you have ever had. They are thieves. Simple as that. You will NOT be given an in-person estimate. Over the phone, you WILL be given a terrific deal. You will have movers arrive at your home who is not from Moving Giants LLC, and after doing some investigation, you will discover that they have an F rating with the BBB. The total amount WILL BE MORE THAN THREE TIMES MORE EXPENSIVE THAN WHAT YOU WERE QUOTED OVER THE PHONE. Then, when you try to contact to resolve the situation, no one responds. Emails seeking a call back end up someplace in the abyss. They are aware of what they are doing and are aware that it is incorrect. Follow my advice and choose a reliable firm.

Phony professionals.

I was dissatisfied with the service provided by this moving business. After having to modify my relocation date, I hired movers. The prior moving company had a better quotation and was more professional, but they were already booked for the day I need. I used moving pros in the hopes of having a good experience, but instead got misinformation on pricing, they scraped up the walls in my rental townhome, tore my dryer vent, wiped their feet on my nice area rug in my kitchen, moved slowly, sat in my drive racking uptime, and the guy who claims to be the owner doesn't handle complaints well. He shouts, refuses, throws a fit, and becomes utterly insane!
