STAY FAR FAR AWAY
zero stars, definitely. They had moved us from NYC to Florida and accidentally left a very large piece of furniture in our new apartment. Since its almost ten feet long (not sure exactly what it is, maybe a tabletop) I was looking forward to having it removed. They lied and kept saying they were picking it up, but they never did. Now I have to try and hire someone to get it out of my apartment. Don’t believe a word they say unless you want major stress and headaches. Go elsewhere!
Good company, Very Fast. Despite old reviews.
Big thank you to Ray. He helped us get set up, get our best rate, and our cross country move from NY to NV went fast friendly and well within schedule. I had many concerns, but they were all addressed fast and fairly with Ray and they are good with answering calls. The App with a live map tracking was a huge relief and helpful!
Worst Mover in the USA
PLEASE IF YOU WORK HARD FOR YOUR MONEY DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY FOR YOUR MOVE. Some people may have been lucky, their move went smoothly, You may not be as lucky. I had a contract with all of my items listed even measurement was provided before I paid the bill. The day of my move turned out to be the nightmare of my life, especially for a 67 years old grandmother, left with half of my belongings struggling to find away to move them. THEY WILL SCAM YOU OF YOUR MONEY.

Move
Ok we moved from marlton nj to deptford nj and they said the truck would be big enough ended up we needed two moves and they charged us another 1000. To go back for the other furniture and then held it hostage till they got the money wouldn’t except cash cause they said the guys driving were thieves I wouldn’t recommend them or ever use them again the company is thieves I don’t think the drivers get paid enough bunch of losers and from what I see on the reviews every other person feels the same
Horrible-Fraud-Scam
Horrible company deceived and left us stranded for a cross country move from Ny to Chicago after promising an 18 foot truck to complete the move. Dumbo demanded and charged us an extra $2,190 to ship remaining items in a week. Almost a hostage situation and caused life threatening illness and stress to us. The movers made us sign right away on the day of the move and then said we are only "allotted less cubic square footage" but their salesperson Marina said "don't worry about counting boxes or even updating the estimate". Horrible!

under quote to screw you mid move
my issue was not with the movers they did their job. my concern is with Hank and Emma who create the quote and booked the move. I told them i was moving 2 bedroom apartment with a dining room for a family of 4. the first quote was missing over half the items. I emailed my concerns. listed my items again. he doubled the truck size and said they movers would packed the day before. Halfway through packing the mover's advised all of our items would not fit into the truck. They move half of our items on Monday. And the rest would have to be moved on Tuesday our actual move date. They proceeded to charge us double the original quote. Hank even tried to charge another commission fee on the same move. I believe they massively underquoted on purpose to get you to book and then stick you up during your move when you have no choice but to pay. I confirmed twice the amount of items we had in our house. It was unprofessional and they put us in a terrible position because half of our stuff was moved and the other half was still waiting to be packed in our apartment. We paid over $4000 when the original quote was $2300. go with piece of cake movers they gave me a quote of $2900 with an walk-through. DUMBO MOVING ARE THIEVES AND DECEITFUL!!

Late, incomplete, disorganized, and clumsy.
They came so late that the buildings I was moving to and from were trying to close for the day. When they arrived, the movers thought they were only supposed to move a piano, and not my entire studio (even though I had said it was a full studio and paid extra for the piano, which is just an electric upright and not particularly unweildy for a piano). They had to call their superios who indeed told them it was a full studio, and clearly the movers themselves were underprepated for it. Then, despite requesting a van size recommended to me through the phone by Dumbo movers for a studio, they couldn't fit tons of stuff in the van, including a tv, aquarium tank, 6 rugs, 3 suitcases, a backpack, 2 art pieces, 4 chairs, a dining table, cleaning supplies, and fridge contents. And then, they refused to make a second trip. So I had to, for 3 full days, move all that myself. All my items were packaged extremely carefully, and professionally (tons of bubble wrap and packing paper), and they still managed to break several items, including those in a box labelled (in large letters) "FRAGILE, DO NOT TILT". That box also had safety packaging just in case, but it still got heavily damaged. Would not use again.
Good company
This moving company was fantastic, and they kept in touch with me via phone calls, emails, and text messages. I never had to be concerned. They made a move look so easy. The movers were nice, courteous, and efficient. It'd be great to work with you guys again. I could not have asked for a more pleasant moving experience. Recommended!

Disgusted with their job
We received bids from three firms, and Dumbo Moving was by far the cheapest. We chose them since they had excellent internet reviews. That was a major blunder. The movers entirely destroyed two things and injured nine others, taking great care to conceal some of the goods they destroyed. The foreman assured us that customer service would take care of us, but they never responded our numerous phone calls. We eventually contested $500 of the charge with Discover, and Dumbo Moving replied dishonestly, including the incredible accusation that WE had not responded to THEIR attempts to reach us. As I was about to sue them in court, I called one more time - and got Amy, the only good person in the office, at ext 252. She and I figured it out in less than five minutes. I withdrew the dispute, she reimbursed $400, therefore everything was OK, right? The next day, the firm CEO issued a scathing email and left an even more heinous voicemail, threatening to take us to court for fraud. He didn't seem to realize we'd abandoned the credit card dispute. Instead of questioning, he threatened and insulted us, which was perplexing. My wife received the email first and gently informed him of the facts, to which he replied, "OK." There was no apology, nothing. I then heard the VM, read the email, and responded with a stern email. He's now escalated, threatening to have me arrested (for what I'm not sure), sending his attorneys after me, labeling me a crook, you name it. This firm is a complete failure. They are fortunate to have Amy on their side; without her, they may have been sued into extinction. If I ever need a mover again, I'll check for bids from firms that don't have to demand high fees to fund their advertising costs, and maybe find a place that is honest and nice through word of mouth. It's not going to be Dumbo moving.
